Matterszine is a co-creation and community engagement project that brings together the work of twenty authors. (3) Public recruitment of editorial teams within the community

Matterszine is a collection of the journeys and stories of multiple creators. We hope to complete every process within the community, including editing, proofreading, and making e-books.

The following open communities apply for editing and proofreading teams.

The work requirements and procedures of the editing and proofreading team:

1. Editing and formatting e-book content:

  • Enter the foreword written by Matty.

  • Develop a table of contents and structure to ensure content is clearly structured and makes it easier for readers to find specific articles.

  • Typesetting the main content, placing it in the appropriate position in a predetermined order, adjusting text line spacing, page length and width, title form, etc. You also need to add the author's avatar and article pictures (one for each article), and the pictures will be provided by Matty.

  • Create a credits page.

Budget: US$340 (equivalent to NT$10,699)

2. Proofreading work:

  • Check for typos, spelling errors, punctuation and grammatical errors in the approximately 200,000 words in the full text.

  • Don't modify anything, just focus on fixing errors.

Budget: US$420 (equivalent to NT$13,216)

3. The output is in a shelf-ready format:

  • Edit the entire e-book into a format that can be put on Readmoo, Google Books and Apple Books, such as EPUB, PDF, etc.

  • Ensure that the output format meets appropriate publishing requirements and platform requirements.

Budget: US$190 (equivalent to NT$6,000)

The above are the work requirements and processes of the editing and proofreading teams. These steps will help ensure the quality of the e-book and the smoothness of its release. The above steps require communication with Matty to ensure that the content is accurate. When performing the above steps, the team needs to arrange the content of approximately two authors (about 10%) in the early stage, communicate and confirm with Matty, and then proceed with the subsequent steps. .

Requirements for the editing and proofreading team:

  • You need to register as a group, there is no limit to the number of people, it is up to the group to decide.

  • Please list the basic information and division of labor of the team members in the application letter, and send the application letter and resume of past editing, proofreading and e-book related experience to hi@matters.town .

Application deadline

The application deadline for the editing and proofreading team is 23:59 pm on March 25 (East 8th District). Matty will reply to the results by email at the end of March, announce the selected team in the message area of ​​this announcement, and start communication with the team at the same time. .

Report from the editing and proofreading team:

The team as a whole will receive 950 US dollars, and the work period will be completed within two months from the start (it is up to you to decide when to pay within the deadline). The amount will be distributed in the form of USDT to the wallet provided by the team, and 50% will be completed ( 1) Payment after the process, 50% will be supported after completing the processes (2) and (3). The team will decide how to allocate the total amount to the team members.
