The scene of a family gathered around the dinner table, with three hot dishes and one soup in front of them, is something that rarely appears in my life. When I open a shop at home, there is always someone at the counter, and the others calculate the time and buy a bowl of noodles or a bowl of rice. They may eat it on a bench, sit at a small table in the store, or sit at a large desk. Eat it in three or two strokes.

I was never a child who wanted to be coaxed to eat. I always thought it was a waste if I didn't finish it. I always stuffed it into my stomach seriously.

So when I think about eating, I probably only see it all by myself, and whatever bowl is in front of me tastes delicious.

In a business home, the dining table at home is not just a dining table. It is the table where my mother quietly opens the account books and receipts when filing accounts. It is the table where my sister and I hunker down when we study. It is also the table where we do art work, write calligraphy, and play games. table.

During the meal, the sundries were moved away, and a large steaming pot of hot pot was served. We each took our bowls and chopsticks to scoop out the ingredients from the pot. For a while, my mother used to cook hot pot. Xiao Qi’s broth, a few packets of hot pot ingredients, a box of hot pot meat slices, some chopped vegetables and poured them into the pot to boil. My mother always felt that the time spent in the kitchen was a waste, and cooking was never her main concern. It was on my life's dream list, so I came up with the quickest and most convenient method. Our two little ones are easy to feed, and they eat happily without getting tired of it.

After I went to college, I divided my meals between those who were at home and those who were not. At home, my mother randomly puts together ingredients from the day's market or from friends and aunts. When not at home, it's dinner with friends. College students gather in groups while drinking. No one wants to be left behind. Lunch time or a quick dinner before catching up with tutoring are all I feed myself from the simple eateries in the alleys near the university. There are many choices, including fried rice with dumplings, curry wonton noodles, omelette rice, and if you want something more exotic, there is also the Middle Eastern eggplant mud bag pancake.

There are also those times when I rush to the distant home of my tutor after class, taking a cup of pearl milk tea with me on the way for dinner. The taste buds of college students are simple. When they are busy, they are pragmatic and pursue calories when eating. For things like stomach, just put something in it.

After I went abroad to study, I switched from eating to cooking. Eating out in Europe is expensive and inconvenient to buy, and if you don’t cook it, you won’t be able to eat it. I was still worried, but my Romanian roommate smiled warmly when I arrived on the first day and suggested that I would cook a hometown dish today and you would cook it tomorrow, so we don’t have to cook it every day!

That was a great idea, so we took turns often. When eating alone, you can stir-fry in a pot and settle it casually, but when eating for two people, you need to be more careful. In order to cook what I wanted, I searched the Internet and researched recipes. In Poland, where I had to take a 40-minute bus ride to a Korean supermarket in the suburbs to even make soy sauce. I started with the parent-child donburi with the simplest ingredients. One day, I suddenly looked up and found that I had actually She is also a woman who can feed anyone.

It’s a long shot, but eating is really one of the most important things in my life. What to eat? Who to eat with? Meals must not be repeated, and dishes from different countries must be rotated. Now that I am a graduate student, I can allocate my time freely, and all I have to worry about are papers and meals. So after drinking coffee in the morning, I start planning lunch or even dinner menu and calculating the required ingredients. Isn’t it too much?
