Q Bo not doing business diary-Day 81

Continuation of "Why Sleep? ", today I want to record about the impact of "Natural Rhythm" on teenagers... This passage made me realize it and it's very exciting!

Recently, since I bought the Switch fitness ring and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition at home... um... I've been busy (mysterious laugh) I have less time to read books, but there are still daily updates! Today I am going to share something that I find very interesting~

"Why sleep? "In the second half of the first part, it is mentioned that the "circadian rhythm" will change with our age. Generally, pre-adolescent children start to feel sleepy at about 8-9 pm, go to bed at about 10-11 pm after bathing, and then sleep until 6-7 am the next morning to start a new day (of course! This is the ideal value~). This work and rest time is actually similar to that of adults~ but after many scientific evidences, this so-called "normal" life work and rest that "everyone" thinks is actually not suitable for teenagers!

According to a number of scientific statistics, it is found that the "circadian rhythm" of adolescents will be slightly delayed by 2-3 hours. This also explains why teenagers go to bed late and wake up late!

Yes! The author hereby expresses in particular that these teenagers really have their reasons and necessity to go to bed late and get up late, so they should not treat these mature children with secular "lazy"~

So why do adolescents' circadian rhythm changes as a whole lag later and become later? The author believes that adolescence is a development-centric goal, but also learning to move from dependent parents to self-independence, and understanding how to get along with peers and adapt to complex group life, find your own path!

And the mysterious creator has created such a special operating law. The way He disconnects teenagers from their parents is to change their circadian rhythm, so that their life rhythm is a few beats later than their parents! This allows teens a few hours to act independently of their parents and to function with their peers.

Also, it helps these soon-to-be-adult teens not get too disconnected from their parents and can safely try some opportunities for independence. However, there are still some risks in such an independent process. For example, in order to learn independence, these teenagers with circadian rhythms often try to fly alone from their parents' nests at night, not during the day!

Exactly what effect sleep has on teens is still under study, but now the information has allowed us to understand that the "unusual" behavior of teens is actually one of the laws of nature! It is really not appropriate to be accused of being sleepy and lazy. In addition, the author also extended a social issue from here:

If teens have a different circadian rhythm than most others, and are in the phase of going to bed late and waking up late, is it good or bad to ask them to get up early in the morning to go to school?

Looking back on my high school days, I really like to sleep! In the middle of reading, I always lie down and squint for a while. Especially on holidays, I can really often sleep in the dark for a long time, and I also agree that going to bed late and waking up late is a good life? ! (Wrong) Now, after reading this book, I realize that it was really a misunderstanding that I was called "slacker" at that time, and a bright beam of light appeared in my heart in an instant~~✨✨✨

This part of the book is really interesting! A "social phenomenon" is explained through scientific demonstration. Perhaps more relevant research is done later... Has the high school class time changed? ! haha 😄
