Be a charming villain

※Because this article is more appropriate, the travel history will wait again and again.

Accepted the "Story StoryStudio" invitation to become one of the authors of this month's keyword " Historical Villains ". The article is currently limited to members of this station, so you can see the full text, and it is not convenient for me to immediately forward it in my own space. This article wants to talk about a little bit of the process and thinking about writing this villain.

In fact, a few years ago, I wrote a biographical book about this character for the story friend "Story". This time, after agreeing to the invitation to write about keywords, I realized that "the ideal is very full, the reality is very skinny". thing. Because this person is not a very marginal character, many content farms use his gossip to support the layout. He is also a frequent guest in many novels, movies, Japanese dramas, and anti-Japanese dramas based on Japan-China relations.

Of course, instead of referring to content farms of unknown sources, I went to the library to look through several new (published after about 2000) biography in Japanese and English describing the life of the client, as well as a memoir written by this man in the 1940s . In addition, I also searched for the old newspapers of the Asahi and Yomiuri Shimbun in the last century, and even the digital database of the National Diet Library of Japan was searched by me for a round.

Basically, this villain, the main point of each book is probably that.

Because there is nothing newly unearthed in the text part, and the oral interview testimonies of relatives, friends, and related people, although some statements are based on sight, but most of them are based on fragments to speculate on what the facts might be. The rumors of private life are just speculations and imaginations. The more I read these things, the more I feel that there is no book that can truly "solve the mystery" of this person.

Therefore, how to write can present this person's fate as a villain, and his actions and identity, framed as a villain by the world, has become a turning process of stereotypes, and provides readers with different perspectives. However, such a main axis of presentation, and the need to avoid bringing in those gossip and gossip, really made me burn my brain for a while.

Burning and burning, but there was no delay in submitting the manuscript. Of course, the original manuscript was exchanged by letter in response to the editorial department's comments, adding and deleting two or three times. After the finished product came out, both parties felt quite satisfied.

When I saw someone on the Internet say: "The villain is the most charming", I feel the same way!

Especially this kind of character who is branded as a villain under the influence of strange national justice, national identity and various ambitions and conspiracies. In fact, the pros and cons in history are mostly the winners who have the final say. Those winners are nothing more than the men who have the advantage under the patriarchal system, and the women who hold the leftovers of the patriarchal soup and are grateful to Dade. .

When I was looking for materials to write an article, I saw a post-war Chinese newspaper's comment on the villain. Because the number of words is slightly larger, I did not directly quote it when I wrote it. I am excerpting a paragraph here to give you a laugh:

Since the defendant is a remnant of the royal family, he naturally has an attempt to restore the Aisin Gioro Empire, and since he was educated by Japanese aggression since childhood, he has the possibility of betraying the country. The defendant was proficient in Chinese, Japanese, English and French languages. He was well-versed in horse riding, skating, swimming, driving a car, and flying a plane. At the age of more than 30 years old, he has been reluctant to marry, and has a close relationship with the Japanese royal family. From this point of view, it has the perfect conditions to be a spy.

In other words, you don't need to specify it to know who this person is.

From ancient times to the present, it is completely effortless to label women as villains! Even a woman's celibacy and talent skills can be a reason for conviction. We also live in an age where unmarried women are called "leftover women"; women's failure to have children is a "national security crisis"; and female presidential candidates "do not understand the hearts of parents in the world" when they are unmarried.

Change the time and space of the above report, and there is really no sense of violation at all.

Compared with some "decent" people who criticize others for not getting married, but also pay bonuses to increase the marriage rate, or single female congressmen who ask for politics, they are more like "decent" people who don't talk too much when they get married. charming!
