Twelve little things to help you meditate daily

A few days ago, I talked with a friend that since he started to pay attention to his maintenance, skin care, etc., he began to feel confident in himself. I felt the same way after listening to it.

In the past, I always thought that pursuing some external achievements recognized by the world seemed to enrich my abilities and make myself stronger, but in fact, I just climbed higher and felt more estranged from myself.

Later, I also figured out my own preferences from life and took care of myself carefully. Only then did I feel the connection with myself arise spontaneously.

Watching the American drama "Queer Eye: We're in Japan!" also felt the same thing, that is, knowing " self-care" is really important.

Although it may seem trivial and trivial, many ways to restore peace and confidence in one's heart are accumulated from these inconspicuous places.

Here are 12 self-care methods that I have found to be very healing:

1. Sweep the floor

Sometimes when I feel demotivated, I start sweeping. It's just a simple sweeping action, but after it's done, I feel like my heart has been swept away.

After the dust in my heart is swept away, I naturally have a sense of direction in doing things, which is really amazing.

2. Cook your own rice

I'm not very good at cooking, but every time I wash the rice, my brain and heart often quiet down with the action of washing the rice. When washing vegetables, you will feel the change of seasons.

Touching the ingredients with your own hands will make you feel more about what you eat and how to cherish the food. Simply cooking the food you need to eat will also bring a fulfilling sense of accomplishment.

These experiences that need to be "hands-on" will bring you a sense of solidity.

3. Be creative

My favorite creative methods are: writing articles, making handbooks, or drawing.

I feel that creating is not only about being immersed in the things I like, but it also brings a confidence of "what I can do" and recovers from the frustrations accumulated in life.

4. Brush the body with a sponge

I have read the book "Ideal Simple Life" that I like very much, and it is mentioned that the skin cells are dying and renewing every day, so brushing your body is also brushing off those unwanted keratin. After the actual test, I feel really comfortable. There is a feeling of wiping away the hard work of the day (massaging my skin by the way).

5. Apply body lotion after shower

I used to be too lazy to apply lotion, but after I started brushing my body, I naturally wanted to apply lotion to my skin. Often when I sit on the edge of the bed and apply lotion to my feet, I feel a sense of joy in my heart.

6. Get a new haircut

Hairstyle is the key to a great influence on how a person feels! You don't necessarily need to buy new clothes to change how you feel.
Sometimes an impulse to bravely change your hairstyle will give yourself a new feeling.

And the hairstyle is very similar to the second face of a person. Changing the hairstyle that best suits your current mood and lifestyle will add a lot of confidence to yourself.

7. Regular meals and vegetables every day

Before I had the space to cook my own meals, I ate out a lot for a while, and I seldom ate green vegetables. In addition to insomnia, my routine was often irregular. Sometimes I would be too hungry to eat before eating, and as a result, I ate too much. The vicious circle found that because the blood sugar has been rising and falling suddenly, the body will be at a loss, and the mood will not be lifted. (The relationship between the body and the mood is linked)

Later, I began to record my eating habits every day, try to eat regularly and quantitatively, and then stipulated that I must eat green vegetables every day, and I felt that my mood became stable, and I no longer felt tired and hopeless in life.

8. Change a pillow

One of the reasons for the troubled insomnia was later found that the pillow had collapsed. It makes my neck and shoulders tense when I sleep. After changing to a pillow with a moderately high degree of softness and hardness, the insomnia was greatly improved.

To make life happier, having good sleep quality is really important.

9. Occasionally allow yourself to lie in bed in a daze

Sometimes I feel like I'm being filled with information, I feel like I'm going to explode but I can't spit it out, I feel like a mess or tiredness inside. At this point I will allow myself to lay flat on the bed.

I don't sleep either, I just lie down and rest. Then let your head run through the most recent thoughts without limit. Sometimes after that, inspiration comes out. The dull feeling that the body had stored too much messy information was also released.

10. Go out for a walk

Ever since I contacted Diansheli, I have tried my best to move forward in the direction of not impulse shopping. But sometimes there is still desire, and at this time I think it is a better way to actually take myself out for a walk than to go online and shoot at home.

Because when you go out, you will feel different atmospheres of air, shops, and people, and the display of goods will change over time. Going out can also help you feel the current fashion.

You don't have to buy it, but the new things you see with your own eyes can enrich your five senses, which you can't do when you stay at home and slide a computer. Sometimes when I walk around, I feel satisfied, and the desire in my heart disappears.

11. Exercise or Yoga

I am a person who hates sports very much. It probably took me about two to three years to get used to exercise as a part of my life.

People used to say that exercising was fun, but I couldn't understand it at all. At first, you need to force yourself to do this habit, and then you feel pain and struggle every time you want to do it.

But now that I've gotten through that adaptation period, I'm starting to really feel that exercise really makes me less tired. This is a great relief for me, whose physical strength is much weaker than the average person.

And when I go out, I find that I have better leg strength or physical strength, and it becomes easier to move my body. I won't always feel like I'm dragging a heavy body, I'll do whatever I want without procrastinating.

This feeling that your body can support what you want to do will also make you feel strong and empowered.

12. Learn new knowledge, watch knowledge sharing on youtube, or watch documentary videos

I think reading has always been a great way to unwind, allowing people to temporarily go offline and hide in their own little world. But sometimes I don't have the time to read a good book, and I feel that for topics I am interested in and want to study, watching the sharing of knowledgeable content on YouTube will also bring healing effects.

Also giloo is a great platform! There is a lot of deep and realistic content in it. It is not so much a documentary, I think it is more like a window that allows you to see another world or history that you have not been able to participate in. It is a very good platform!

This kind of film will not bring much emotional stimulation compared to chasing dramas. It can make you calm down slowly, chew and think carefully, and think it is a great movie watching experience. (But chasing dramas also has the effect of chasing dramas! When emotions need an outlet, I prefer chasing dramas and reading comics.)

When you watch some in-depth content in a timely manner, you will feel like your brain is being massaged, which is somewhat similar to what was written in previous online articles. The best way to rest your brain is not to sleep, but to switch activities in different brain areas. Documentary films make me feel that way.

One of the cute documentary films I recommend to watch: "The Coolest Traveling Companion" (picture taken from giloo)

The above twelve points are my experience sharing in the past year. I often feel that it is not easy to live a good life, it requires effort and management, and I often feel that I have been punched K.O. by it. Repeating these seemingly trivial things at this time always helps me regain my unbalanced focus and restore my sense of normalcy/confidence.
