Hello everyone~ I'm a yoga teacher, translator, podcaster, minimalist, and animal communicator .
It took 7 months to realize the dream of traveling around the world, and suddenly realized that life is very interesting and time is precious. Set foot on four continents and 16 countries. Live a simple life with your partner storyteller and dog eggs.

I love reading and writing. In 2003, he began to record his daily life in Bokebang .
After traveling around the world in 2016, he opened his Facebook fan page, Larry Hand. Travel around the world .
Later, I moved my position to Fanggezi . I came to Matters a few days ago because of @reading Bigeng 's wonderful article and found a new world. I am very happy to be here :)

The following is a detailed description of the topics of my articles. Under each topic, some articles have been accumulated .

If you are interested, you can have a sneak peek at the link provided. I will also post the previously published articles to Matters one by one, hoping to communicate with more people.

■ Joanna Diary

I have the habit of writing a diary. Of course, sometimes I don’t write for a few days, and I write for several days in a row. The feeling of writing a diary is to have a dialogue with myself, because I know my own affairs very well, but many feelings are not detailed. Record it word by word.

There seems to be a part that just slipped through my fingers and slipped away without a trace.

I would love to write it down.

" Notes of Seclusion on Lake Baikal " is the diary of the author Sylvain Tesson who went to the Siberian forest alone for half a year. The title of "Awakening Every Day" on January 1 is "A Rare Personality".
Coincidentally, these two books are both diary-style, but they are very beautiful.

Coincidentally, I've been thinking recently, why keep a diary?
What is the significance of recording these trivialities? Who wants to read someone else's diary? (Ok, I XD)

"Everyday Awakening " author Mark Nepo wrote in the preface

I write in this form because I am a poet, and I long for an expression that is like taking food with a spoon. And I was a survivor of cancer, and journaling books became my inner food. For the past two decades or so, the journal has responded to collective needs, acting as the spiritual sonnet of our time, a stable vessel for small but important things.

He explained my long-standing doubts, the needs and impulses of diary writing that I don't know how to explain, in a beautiful and moving way. For me, a journal is indeed " a stable container for small but important things ."

Tesson quoted Tao Yuanming's "Self-Sacrificial Essay" in "Notes on Seclusion on Lake Baikal" on March 28. I hadn't read the content he quoted. I was very curious. I immediately searched for this article and couldn't help but read it carefully. My classical Chinese is not good, it took me a while to find my favorite sentence

He lives in a poor house, drinking and composing poetry. Knowing fate and knowing fate, the domain can be neglected.

It means living in a humble house, arrogant, drinking and writing poetry. Know your own destiny and have no regrets .

When I looked back and picked up "Notes on Seclusion on Lake Baikal", I found that the author actually quoted the same passage.

I want to try to record the indescribable feelings and thoughts, the very private and private parts, which are related to my life, and I pick them out.

These instability are contained in the stable container of the diary.

■ Pull hands. travel around the world

More content is expected to be released in the near future, so stay tuned.

In July 2015, two girls, the storyteller and I, held each other's hands and embarked on an adventure around the world. We are not just friends, we are intimate partners, and now family .

Storytellers grew up staring at backpackers whenever they saw them, imagining them stepping across gravel and rocky ground, blown by desert and ocean winds. What I want is to get out of my familiar comfort zone, learn how to live in a completely foreign country, buy and cook local ingredients, and try to be happy no matter where you are in the world.

After resigning, we bought waterproof bags in the east market, shoes in the west market, locks in the south market, and backpacks online. They stuffed their belongings into large and small backpacks, and only planned their trip to India for the first three weeks. They bought a one-way ticket from Taiwan to India and set off.

During the trip, I realized that I have been taking fear as food since I was a child. I am afraid of insects, afraid of quarrels, afraid of danger, afraid of being hungry, afraid of noise and afraid of getting sick. Almost all changes require psychological construction, and the biggest fear before departure is— After a big fight, they parted ways.

Storytellers' biggest fear is not getting money out of the ATM. Apart from this, she thinks that there is nothing that cannot be solved, so even if she was eaten by blood-sucking worms on her first day in India, she vomited a lot on the second day, and was taken to the hospital a few days later. Never shouted to go home.

She is a fire sign, I am a water sign. She is fast, I am slow. She was lively and generous, and I was taciturn. This big trip tests the partnership at every turn. In a full 7 months, we were only separated for 5 hours in the Peruvian city of Cusco (that's another story). I quarreled and had countless tempers, but the thing I feared the most did not happen.

In 7 months we have visited 4 continents and 16 countries:

  • Asia: Malaysia, India.
  • Europe: Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Iceland, Spain.
  • South America: Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador.
  • North America: West Coast of the United States, Canada.

The journey is full of many wonderful experiences. I want to record it here before the memories slip through my fingertips, and the itinerary and photos of various places will be slowly organized. ⠀⠀⠀⠀

■ Summer Icelandic Backpackers

The first time I visited Iceland, it was a stop on a trip around the world in 2015. We stayed for 11 days and traveled around the sights of southern Iceland.

In the summer of 2019, the storyteller and I decided to revisit my dream travel destination: Iceland, fulfilling my wish to travel around Iceland by myself, to the antler-like Northwest Fjords.

I saw wild elk, arctic fox, puffin, and Icelandic horse. I also used the way of animal communication to chat with Icelandic horses and sea parrots. I also met a handsome Icelandic policeman and got in an Icelandic police car.

Visit many of Daydream King's movie scenes. Documenting Iceland's adventure through my eyes.

■ Minimalist Ideal Life: Disconnection Exercise

In 2008, I carried out an experiment of not buying for a year, and since then I have embarked on a journey to find an ideal life. In 2021, the experiment will be minimal for 30 days, and more than 465 items will be discarded. Keep practicing knowing yourself.

■ Joanna Animal Communication

Having raised a dog egg, I wanted to know her better and respect her choices, especially in medical emergencies, so I took this step of learning. This step is more significant than I thought, because it upended my view of the world.
