Letter to Writers: From Sincere Readers

Selfishly hosting this event and thank you for introducing thirteen writers. This is a very difficult conclusion to write. After all, writers who "dare" to write to writers should not be easy. How can I be qualified to judge or find the winners in these letters?

Foreword: Selfishly hosting this event, thank you for introducing thirteen writers. This is a very difficult conclusion to write. After all, writers who "dare" to write to writers should not be easy. How can I be qualified to judge or find out the winners from these letters?

Reading these texts, whether fiction or non-fiction; realism, romance or postmodernism; contemporary or past, living or dead; writing in Chinese or foreign languages... Regardless of fame, we are all overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and desperation of the writer's words. Touch, and see a phenomenon, a society and a culture from their shouting, pleading and introspection, even using a word that is irrelevant and humorous.

Some books we read unpleasantly, those are too heavy and we have to see the facts clearly.

We don’t necessarily live in the same time and space as the writers, but we understand their love, family and friendship, their values and beliefs—maybe we don’t necessarily understand, but we get a power from it, which is immeasurable. So I wrote a letter to them.

Thanks to thirteen readers and writers for responding to this activity I don't know if it was fun.

I have always had the habit of writing letters, but I never thought about publishing these very personal letters before. Until the end of September last year, it took me a year and a half to read a French book with only 150 pages in the original book. "People" corresponds to "The Stranger Reversal Investigation". The former took me only one night to read, but the latter took nearly 500 times more time. I was so angry at the time that this Algerian writer named Daoud "turned over" my Camus again, like re-examining "The Stranger" after opening the coffin and flogging the body - he wrote it so well that I had to After reading these two books together, I wrote a letter to him, the first letter I wrote publicly to the author.

I had the idea of organizing an event last fall, but I was too lazy to study community event proposals and worried about sending the wrong money. It took until April 12 to write an invitation to the event, and until the 28th, there were only four articles, so I had to write another letter to Balzac to urge the draft. There were only five articles at 6:00 pm yesterday (deadline day), I thought it was a "everyone has a prize" event, but at 6:30, the sixth article was ushered in, and at 8:00, I thought it was about seven. , Eight articles, can still be sent to everyone!

I didn’t expect about half of the participants to participate in the last two or three hours. I will still choose five participants to send 150Like (original 120), and the other eight participants will still get 50Like. Writing letters is too subjective, I can’t say who My subjectivity is wrong, and in the end I can only assign it according to my subjective thoughts.

@d'Avid's lowlnand @Lola@si Kaor @Sad Girl Bar | Venice@zhixinyou Get 150Like.

In addition, the first five participating authors thanked their enthusiastic participation in Hong Kong dollars prior to their support.

May we also have free souls

What I am curious about is that in a self-anesthetized society where "you can't see when you cover your eyes, and you can't hear when you cover your ears", is choosing to open the antenna a dead end? But would it have been better if I had chosen to go far away (if I could)? Or bad, for a martyr? I guess you will smile back at me: "Can you go? Where can you go?"

Hu Bo, who was born in 1988, chose to hang himself in 2017. Before his death, he said, "It's not good to live." At the age of 29, he left behind three books and one movie. Too bad", but maybe as @d'Avid's lowlnand said :

Perhaps, there is no (evil) fate to see those more bullshit futures, it is indeed a beautiful stop. Lucky or unfortunate, you say?
In fact, I just regret it too much. If, if you were still here, how many good books would have been written? How many people have been saved by reading your book? It is also because of reading your book that I began to find the writing that I once loved, and returned to the embrace of reading again. What a precious journey this is for me, I have to thank you for your writing to let me start to face writing again. It seems that such a self can also have infinite possibilities and can overcome difficulties, even at such an age.

Why do talented people always drop the dust so easily? It can be seen that this letter is written by readers to their favorite authors - wanting to experience that kind of love and that kind of pain.

I don't pay much attention to the literary world, and I don't care about those turmoil, but I have read your book on Chinese writing, and then I found that your pen can write elegant poems, and it can also pierce others like a sharp sword, including those recognized by the education circle. good sir. Undoubtedly, the senior's writing is mediocre, and there are indeed language problems, but I also feel that your comments are so cruel that you don't show mercy. As a talented person like you, it is not very kind to criticize an old senior whose writing is not as good as yours in this way.

The existence of some authors also reflects the days when we were growing up. Maybe writing to him is also a memory of our youth? "Snow Wolf Lake" is the first Chinese original musical, but the original author Zhong Weimin was ignored. I'm also curious if the romantic poet turns 60 so smooth?

When you visit your store in Macau, you will have the opportunity to meet you. But I want to find the past you more. Is that romantic poet still around?

They lived through a recorded era

I like your optimistic mood very much. Even in the face of this dark and cruel world, there is still hope and light. In a world that is always depressed, find something to do that can make you happy. Like you, I don't want the darkness to overwhelm us. Even the 21st century I am now in is the same chaos, war and racism that you are in the 20th century. When will humans learn to behave? Will it be united? I don't know, but we can only try our best to make ourselves happy and comfortable in this unresolved and unfair world.

Wanting to talk to writers from another era is usually looking at a piece of themselves in their life, and it just so happens that I would start a diary and it seems to be influenced by Anne Frank , a girl whose life is stuck at the age of 15 so uncomfortable He has become an inspiring author.

Thank you for holding your pen tightly, being your wand, being your weapon. You died of tuberculosis soon after you wrote this book. I put it well on the bookshelf, and went on a journey that seemed to be real I can think silently in my heart, "We will meet in a place where there is no darkness."

"Nineteen Eighty-Four" is really a book that crosses nationalities, cultures, and eras, yet can resonate with everyone. We thought it was a satirical allegory and a cautionary tale, but we didn't expect to see it come to fruition today, reading Orwell's words and not forgetting the freedom of the press.

This makes me moved. Simple happiness is the greatest happiness in life. Your home is very simple and simple. You don’t want to fight with others, you just want to get together, stay together, and do what you can. When you encounter difficulties, bear them together, and the difficulties will no longer be difficult. With the help of saviours, no matter what is bitter or difficult, it can become sweet. If you are a little bit happy, you will become very happy. I often see it. These words, tears can not help shedding, thank you, let me know that happiness is really simple.

Yang Jiang is a well-known translator, not only Qian Zhongshu's wife, she wrote "The Three of Us" at the age of 92. Her life also witnessed the heart-wrenching history of modern China. And readers can read in the text that despite the ups and downs of life, they still maintain love.

Their lives are the epitome of society, may we not be the onlookers behind the news

In fact, you probably understand by now that I am not your reader, but know you through the fact that you were plagiarized, and it was only after you had been suffering for twelve years that I became like many others. Discovering you in hindsight, trying to understand your pain, and maybe wanting to do something - but what can we do, and if anyone could have done something, maybe they should have done it for you twelve years ago. Many people should be ashamed of this, including me, and even want to say sorry to you. What do we look like? We are probably watching a school violence, then silent, or accustomed to it.

I read it on Zhihu through Lola's article search: "Mo Yin is a novelist. She has published 5 novels, some translations, and won several literary awards. But many people know her because of a 12-year-old novel. The plagiarism incident." I was thinking so cruel, to understate the literary career that is not long but made more difficult by being plundered in one sentence?

As a creator, you probably want to know you the way you know your work. But I want to tell you that I don't pay attention to you and like you because of pity and sympathy for a scar.
When I saw the theme of the essay a few days ago, the writer I wanted to write most came to my mind, but it was you who passed away when you were young. If you want to write but hesitate, or write to other writers and write some light-hearted or funny articles? What angle should you use to approach the dark side of society? Do you want to understate it and not bring your own emotions into it? Want to report interviews like reporters, plain narrative or spilled blood? Want to write about the horror of human nature? Promote the importance of sex education? Just thinking about some words feels heavy, and on the day of the deadline (today), I still started to write it. . Try to write to you with empathy that understands you. As a mother with a child, remind yourself and others that whether you have a boy or a girl, you should have different levels of sex education at different ages .

Thank you Amelie for finally writing this letter in this form, it's also very difficult for me to describe, I was notified of your post yesterday and didn't even know what to leave behind.

Isn't the sum total in life love?

Love is cruel and beautiful. We are standing outside the dimly lit independent bookstore. The door is half closed. Are you still signing books for readers? We carved a poem on a nearby stone and walked away hand in hand.
I actually don't want to say that much, because when we stop talking, time can always stop at that moment, just like candlelight in a glass, swaying quietly.

It should be written to the poet Xu Peifen, please correct me if I make a mistake. In her interview, she mentioned, "The inspiration for writing poetry is nothing more than emotion. No matter what form of love, for her, it is probably the second most important thing in life." Thanks to Cauliflower Introduction, I rarely read poetry but will order a book of poetry to read right away.

You and I both started writing at the age of fifteen, and we won the Hong Kong Youth Literature Award respectively, but you are so much better! At the age of seventeen, she returned to her hometown to visit relatives during the summer vacation. The following year, she published a story about a young girl and her distant cousin in the Northeast Snow Township. She witnessed the poetic beauty and stubborn love. A legend, and later a trilogy was assembled!

In this event, I accidentally got a writer who won the Hong Kong Youth Literature Award!

Interestingly, Hong Kong writer Zhong Xiaoyang read Zhu Tianxin's works when he was in middle school. The two started correspondence and went to Taiwan to visit Zhu Tianxin alone during the winter vacation of 1979. Writing to authors in the same time and space will make it possible to realize their friendship.

In the poem, the parting is described very vividly. Although there is some sadness, it also brings happy memories, so it is not so sad. If you travel to another country far away, you feel that you will never have the opportunity to visit again in your life. , that's probably how it feels!

We have read Xu Zhimo and watched "April in the World", and we also yearn for Cambridge and Feilengcui because of his poems - the translation of Duomei. We may not all agree with his values but we cannot ignore his talent and the beauty he left behind.

Authors who have intersected in life

Your reinterpretation of the " Book of Revelation " is the most splendid passage in my opinion. It not only gave me another view of Christianity, but more importantly, let me know that the classics always have their reasons, but the interpretation of later generations. Whether it is true or not is also a question. Don't read any classics with any presupposition, because this will make you miss the wonderful passages that resonate with you. Also don't fully trust anyone's annotated scriptures, because that may also carry that person's beliefs rather than truth.

As a Christian, I can't touch the topics and contents related to divination or spirituality. I only have zero understanding of this kind of knowledge. This letter to "grandmother" mentions the views on the classics. Reminder to anyone with a religious affiliation. Not sure if you're talking about spiritual teacher Alena Feicheld? Based on my google results, please correct me if I guess wrong.

You told me in your letter, "Life is long, but every moment is precious!" Looking back now, I am very glad that I have survived, and I can finally realize that every moment in the past, whether it was bitter or sweet, made it happen now. The me, if I am more patient and empathetic than others, it must be learned by my children. I am very grateful to you for giving me rational advice at the time of collapse that many people could not understand. , and empathizing with my mood, I was shaky and stably caught.

This is a letter that will be written to the author himself. The author, Kai Ruo, was a single mother who started a business and raised her own children. It is said that many mothers are following his articles and inspired by them!

I received my Like income 2053 from last month before publishing, and I sent out 1150 today, hoping to encourage each other. 😎
