Read "Insiders" Chen Haoji|A hacker story wrapped in cyberbullying

(edited)

In conclusion, this book made me feel very lost.

"Inside the Net" begins with the younger sister Xiaowen who was bullied by the Internet and chose to commit suicide. It describes the bereaved older sister Ayi, in order to find the originator of the message, and turned to Anie, who has super-high Internet ability, to find out the truth. At first I thought this book would write a lot about cyberbullying, Hong Kong society, the underprivileged and human nature, but it was not as expected. The author wanted to elaborate too much. The relevant issues only appeared in the previous and previous texts and went to the point. Some of them still use The didactic narrative wraps up. More than 500 pages of books are mostly about how to use high-tech detection and revenge. When reading, I hope that the content will no longer be scientific and technological knowledge every time I turn a page. It is not until I finish reading that I am sure that my expectations have failed. I have to resort to written records for solace.

The author has done a lot of homework, and the hacker knowledge in the book is well-documented and eye-opening. But Agnie, the hacker, was designed to be so versatile that he did not encounter many setbacks. Although he claimed that he was just an agent, in fact, his presence in the book could not be ignored. He often needed high-end computer capabilities to solve problems. So he pretty much dominates where the story goes. During the investigation, Anie actually deduced the fact roughly, but did not tell the heroine, and let Ayi's emotions drive the development of the situation. When Ayi questioned him, he explained it on the grounds that the other party didn't ask. It is unclear whether Agni wants to be a bystander or to achieve self-justice. The reader is overwhelmed by such an arrangement, which is really not logical. Furthermore, during the process of investigating cyberbullying, it was discovered that there was another master hiding behind him. I thought there would be a wonderful hacker duel, but I didn't expect that compared with Agnie, this character was so weak that he could only understate it. The discussion of social issues is not deep enough, and the plot is not exciting enough. It gives people a kind of depression that cannot be overwhelmed. It is impossible to position this book well.

In order to log out my sense of loss, since this is a hacker story, let’s end it with popular science notes. After finishing the book, please read the links provided, and refer to those who are curious about related knowledge.
