A Poem: Bean Counters

A room of bean counters

are debating —

which color of beans is the best

some vote for green

others favor red

no one proposes yellow

I am thinking about something different —

Beans make you fart

Here is the rub —

there is no bean in the room;

an elephant, yes.

A room of bean counters

keep on arguing

about the non-existent

fart-fermenting beans.
