Hatha yoga

"Ha" in Hatha yoga refers to the sun, and "tha" refers to the moon, so the word Hatha has the meaning of yin and yang, including dynamic and static expressions. In fact, all yoga that includes the practice of movement (asana) and breathing (pranayama) belongs to hatha yoga. This type of exercise mainly focuses on the control of the breath, using deep breathing to allow the body to develop strength, flexibility and endurance in each movement, to adjust and calm the body and mind.

In Western culture, Haṭha yoga is often understood as a mode of exercise. But in the Indian and Tibetan traditions, Haṭha Yoga is much more than that. Not only is it a complex system of physical exercise, but it also incorporates ideas from ethics, diet, cleansing, pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, and the spiritual development system of yogis.

Therefore, Hatha yoga in general yoga centers will pay more attention to teaching various body styles as shown in the figure below, which is suitable for beginners to feel and talk to their own body.

In addition, teachers who mainly focus on Hatha yoga will also incorporate meditation, breathing, etc. into yoga practice. Personally, I suggest that you can experience the process of meditation more, which is also the original intention of real yoga.

In addition, it focuses on the characteristics of meditation and breathing. It is very suitable for those who want to understand and contact yoga. .
