Drift Book Project ɑ Squad | The Collision of Daily Life and Mystery Fiction

Ryu Murakami's "Hello Life Begins at the Age of 55", I have been hearing about Ryu Murakami's name for a long time, but I didn't choose a masterpiece to read. The meaning that overflows between the lines may be insufficient experience or poor life experience. I really like the atmosphere and the light plot of this book, but in the seemingly day-to-day routine, I make life-changing choices.
There are 5 short stories in total, and most of the protagonists in the novels are missing something, or looking for something. In the middle-aged life that seems to have no future, but under a certain opportunity, he regains his enthusiasm for life. I like Ryu Murakami's light narrative brushstrokes very much, and I decided to use this book as a drifting book, hoping that @星光光 who get this book will also get something.
[Welcome]
Received the rafting book from @Erica, I was surprised and delighted to open it! First, I am amazed at the novelty of the book. I must be Erica who cherishes things. Second, it is a mystery novel (hands are more than love) that I rarely come into contact with. I actually love to watch mystery dramas, but they are all limited to dramas or movies. On the contrary, mystery novels are rarely covered. Thank you Erica for her great love.
"Woman in Cabin 10" is about a reporter working for a travel magazine, who is accidentally assigned to join a luxury cruise ship and do a series of reporting assignments. Everything about the cruise ship was so beautiful at the beginning, banquets, parties, gourmet food, and cups. But one night, the heroine was awakened by the sound of the next cabin. When she wanted to find out, she found a fact that she should not have discovered.
From here, the plot slowly unfolds and reverses, from simply looking for whereabouts, to doubting everyone around you, and being intimidated and threatened. When the truth is finally revealed, the atmosphere of each link is very attractive. The description of the details is in place. After seeing half of it, I really think that everyone may be a murderer. The ending surprised me and brought me a great reading time.
The whole incident took place on a cruise ship. The confined space and the convenience of easily throwing it into the sea to destroy the corpse are the main reasons for the tension and excitement of the whole book. During the process of searching for evidence, through the author's writing, the heroine shuttles back and forth in the narrow corridors and cabins, going up and down, in the claustrophobic and narrow space, and she can feel the suffocation coming from all directions. In addition, as the plot progresses, the murderer's message from nowhere, and the mobile phone that disappeared out of thin air, all highlight the crisis the heroine may face. , from time to time for the heroine's cold sweat, or follow the hero's emotions inexplicably nervous.
Although the final ending has nothing to do with the robbery at the beginning, I feel a little pity, perhaps the author wants to use the protagonist's own panic to induce readers to conjecture that "nothing may have happened, just the protagonist's own fantasy". Coupled with the setting of the protagonist himself taking medicine due to panic disorder, from the beginning, others looked at this matter with colored eyes, and finally the truth came out.
Thank you @reading pen farming for the proposal and @Conflict Niu for hosting, we are all in different counties and cities and have never met each other, but sending and receiving books is a very meaningful thing, reading other people's favorite books, each other Exchange of reading experience, from the reading experience of others, to a certain extent, is also the possibility of books being read and understood again, providing multi-faceted thinking and stimulating more thinking space.
