I have not listened to any of the above seven books. All this week was spent listening to 2001: A Space Odyssey. So this audiobook record is a false record.

Just talk about "2001 A Space Odyssey".

The first time I knew the story was watching a movie on TV. It was very early, and the TVs at that time were still picture tubes. When I was young, I was really blown away by this movie. To this day, I still remember the feeling of squatting close to the TV, staring at the screen and not daring to breathe.

There are three episodes in the movie that left a deep impression on me.

The first is to see the black stele on the moon. The black stone tablet of 1:4:9 is solemn and solemn, reminding the insignificance and fragility of human beings in front of us, reminding that there are still higher beings watching us silently in the human universe, reminding us how big the universe is and how big the boundaries of time and space are. How wide, how arrogant human beings are.

The second is seeing Hal kill the astronaut. Howl's icy electronic eyes left a deep shadow on my childhood. I don't understand why a camera makes people shudder when they are stared at.

The third place is seeing space babies. Kubrick really played the camera sense to the extreme. With the background music, the appearance of the baby gives an epic feel.

At that time, I was so shocked by the movie that I did not hesitate to add this movie to my list of three favorite movies. The other two are "Evil in the East" and "Farewell My Concubine".

But at the time I had no idea what the film was about, or even had a logical recollection of the plot.

This time I read and listened to this book again on WeChat, and the feeling of shock is still the same. The biggest gain is to sort out the basic plot clearly. I can use a logical story line to connect several scenes that shocked me, and I understand it at the same time. some metaphors in the movie.

The first is to understand the purpose of the aliens who left the black stele. It turns out that they are interested in life, and the black stele is a tool for them to unlock biological intelligence and create suitable living conditions for the creatures. Three million years ago, they opened the wisdom of an ape on the land of Africa, and later made Jupiter into the sun for the Europa people on Europa.

The second is to figure out whether the artificial intelligence Hal on the spacecraft has human-like intelligence. In the movie, Howl is portrayed as an intelligent artificial intelligence, and Howl has a sense of superior indifference to human beings. But in the novel, Howl is just faithfully carrying out his orders. The order to do what it takes to get the job done takes precedence in importance to protecting human safety. Hal killed the astronaut because he judged that the astronaut would interfere with his mission. This is actually more scary. Not only in terms of power comparisons, but also because human beings have no idea how it made such forward-looking choices.

The third is to figure out why the astronauts would enter a room full of European aristocracy. In fact, this is an illusion created by intelligent life to reassure astronauts.

This is the first time I've read the entire story in its entirety. After listening to the whole story, I also have some dissatisfaction. Although many places recommend this book to say that Liu Cixin said that his "Three-Body Problem" is a rough imitation of this book, I can also understand why Liu Cixin said this, first of all because of the imaginative imagination that spans time and space. , and secondly, considering that the book was written so early, it will naturally give rise to the feeling of being thrown into the ground by comparison.

But I don't think this book is a pass when it comes to the readability of the novel. The movie "2001 A Space Odyssey" has already filmed the most story-like content in the whole story, and the rest of the content is almost piled up by the author's imagination in the field of science fiction.

As a discerning reader, what I want more is a good story to read.
