Experience | The French Dispatch (2021)

The fifth Wes Anderson movie I've seen. This should be a film that people who work in publishing and writing will resonate with, especially in an age where physical publishing is on the decline. This film has the usual fantasy, absurdity, irony, and cold humor in Wes Anderson's works. Sometimes it makes people smile, and some paragraphs are very warm. Each big melee scene is presented in a way of dummy challenge, which is particularly cute. The dizzying visual feast, the signature centering composition for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, retro tones, scene design, illustration, publication cover, character costume design...etc are all super pleasing to the eye, but the amount of story information is too large, the movie is broadcast quickly In the past, it would be too late to absorb and understand, and it would be too late to appreciate the details on the screen. The film cast is still strong, and I like Owen Wilson & Adrien Brody the most. In Wes Anderson's films, each character is set very carefully, with clear shapes and no sloppy modeling details. Jarvis Cocker also contributed virtual characters & music in this film. He sang French songs and the subwoofer was really dead.
