008 | Please enter the correct "question"

Recently I was reading a sci-fi masterpiece "The Left Hand of Darkness", and there was a sentence in it that inspired this article:

"How useless it is to know the answer to the wrong question."

We tend to waste too much energy on the wrong questions:

• TA love me or not

• Does the boss like me or not

• Does this matter make sense?

• Will I be rich

• Will there be an earthquake tomorrow?

...

These questions are "wrong questions".

The reason is that the answers to these questions are not focused on "the part that you can change."

That is, knowing the answer is also "useless".

We are all limited by the "textbook" mindset, and in our school days, our "safety" comes from the "correct answer". In fact, 99% of the problems in life have no "right" answer. (Except for issues that touch ethical and legal bottom lines)

When you spend too much energy looking for the "correct answer", you often don't output "action" to get yourself closer to your ideal step by step, or it doesn't matter if you don't have an ideal, the "action" itself has its meaning.

What is the right question?

The so-called correct question is the "executability" of its answer and the "internalization of the execution result". That said, the answer is a behavior that you can control.

Instead of spending mental energy thinking about "whether the other party loves you or not", it is better to think about "what kind of intimate relationship you want to have."

Similarly, instead of worrying about "whether your boss likes you or not", think about "what can you achieve in your professional field".

There is also "will you become rich", then learn and act immediately on the method of "letting yourself go to debt first".

If you are worried about natural disasters, learn about and prepare for disaster preparedness.

"Action" can eliminate "uncertainty", and continued "action" can fight against the wider "uncertainty" world.

Conversely, if you don't have an answer to a question, it's not a "correct" question. The correct way is to "reduce the dimensionality" of this problem and continue to execute and output.

For example, many people are confused about what "what kind of life they want" really looks like.

So what you should think about is "Which moments in my life will I feel satisfied and happy, and which of my needs are met?" The answer is that a piece of chocolate is fine, at least you know something you like.

The more you know yourself, the happier you are.

Get rid of the trap of "standard answer" and wish everyone a better version of themselves.
