purely out of habit

Some problems have always existed, and we turn a blind eye to them purely because of habit. We feel that since the problems have always existed, they must be facts that cannot be changed, so don’t waste your energy on them.

As a result, everyone takes those problems for granted, and over time, no one will seriously consider whether those problems can be solved.

Just like the little fable about monkeys and bananas, five monkeys are locked in a cage with a bunch of bananas hanging in one corner. Every time a monkey tries to pick a banana, the five monkeys will be drenched in water. The monkey will not touch the banana again. At this time, if you replace a new monkey with an old monkey, the new monkey will naturally pick the banana when it sees it, but it will be crushed by the original monkey as soon as it approaches the banana. In this case, the original five monkeys will be replaced. Chengxin monkeys only know that they will be beaten when they touch a banana, but they don't know why they are beaten.

This has been the case all along the way, so as long as you follow the predecessors, why bother asking for trouble? So people gradually ignored the problem, or should say, they felt that this problem was not a problem at all, and everyone did this.

Until the newcomer comes on stage, he immediately raises the question that everyone turns a blind eye to, but what he often gets is not praise, but accusations of meddling. Why be unconventional?

It is a normal choice for newcomers to give up, but if they persist enough and pursue it to the end, they may really break through the status quo and bring about major changes. So everyone is surprised that things can really be changed. Why was it normal to be able to endure all kinds of problems in the first place?

Do you think the newcomer will be applauded for this? That would be too naive. No matter how wonderful the change he brings, it may not be appreciated by everyone. High-profile personalities are annoying, and insisting on one's own opinion means insubordination.

In the story of the monkey and the banana, when a new monkey successfully broke through the siege and picked the banana unharmed, can it really finish the banana comfortably in the end? The other monkeys must have robbed him of the bananas.
