Pampered only cousin becomes irresponsible father

During the Chinese New Year and festivals, relatives often get together in the countryside. The distant aunt and our family have always interacted frequently. Her children would meet at least once a year when they were young, but they rarely contacted each other when they became adults. The aunt later settled in Taipei with her daughter.

More than 3 years ago, when I went to Taipei once, I met my second sister for dinner with my distant aunt. When we made the appointment, my aunt emphasized that she was busy at 1:30. Because the food was slow in the restaurant that day, my aunt was embarrassed to say, 1:30. I had an appointment with my grandson nearby, and we enthusiastically asked her to inform my grandson to have dinner together. After dinner, the 4 of us walked around the neighborhood together.

The 26-year-old cousin, tall and tall, happily said that this was the richest and most relaxing meal he and grandma had ever eaten together. Many of them are slowly learning and adapting. They are currently working as an apprentice in the kitchen of a spicy restaurant. My sister and I encouraged him to return to society slowly as long as he is willing to do it and endure the hardships during his apprenticeship.

My cousin has three sisters, and my aunt worked hard and finally gave birth to a son, who is very doting. From what the family mentioned in the past about my cousin’s recent situation and the description of my cousin’s son, I roughly pieced it together. My cousin, who couldn’t endure hardship in military academy, dropped out of school, wandered in society for a few years and married his son, the economy was not stable, and the husband and wife were noisy.

The cousin said that his father in elementary school asked him to do child labor to make money. Middle school and high school were all working to make money. His father was inexorable. He has done bad things like cheating, and he hates himself for having such a father, being born in such a family, and living such a life.

The aunt, who believed in Christianity in her later years, quietly listened to her grandson by the side, her face flashed with the remorse of her godson, and the kindness that she felt sorry for her grandson who went astray and hoped to accompany him back on the right track.

Although they went their separate ways when they grew up, the innocent interaction in childhood makes it hard to imagine that the distant cousin will become like this later, which is very embarrassing.
