Baobo's Clubhouse open house experience summary

Happened to open house a few times over the weekend as a host and speaker, and the experience was all fun. Including the experimental mountaineering broadcast (on the broadcast) and the blockchain unpopular technology discussion room, and also participated in the classic discussion room about what to do if the eraser is removed, the following are some of my experiences, I hope to help everyone (very personal , don't like it or believe it):

1. To open a room, you must find a co-host to speed up the accumulation of traffic and number of people. It is not impossible to open a room by yourself, but it is recommended to use the reservation function to get a link and share it with the community to attract popularity*

2. Be sure to take the time to set up a co-host after the room is opened, so that he or she can help you invite more speakers and audiences, and also assist in management.

3. If the developer wants to add some listeners, they must also remember to manually click the + sign to invite some friends into the room (many people will change rooms and come in to see if they receive a notification, but it is up to you to keep them)

4. The title is everything, don't be too long, it is best to be short and delicate, easy to understand, and intriguing. It is recommended to make serious topics light-hearted, for example, subscript "Aether, ether, where are you going to fall?" Another example, light-hearted topics are serious, such as "Why does the eraser disappear every time it falls on the ground, scientific topics, serious discussions !"

5. CH is a very test of the host's skill and decision-making. I suggest not to be peaceful and wishful. If you need to do it, you can invite it. If you need to do it, you can block it. If you need to do it, please do it. Please resolutely mute or move back to the auditorium those who are too verbose, inexperienced, inexperienced and unfollowers, otherwise it will be a waste of everyone's life.

6. Maintain the audio quality of the room: If someone has poor sound quality, poor reception (such as a ride or a high-speed train), or the background of the restaurant is incessant, it is recommended to ensure everyone's listening quality, be sure to mute him as soon as possible, or Euphemistically ask the other party to wear headphones or join in a quiet place with good communication.

7. It is not recommended to join a silent room, because it is difficult to guarantee that people who open a silent room will not be retroactively punished (it is reported that the official prohibits the opening of a silent room, and it is inferred based on technology, it is not impossible to retrospectively check...) It is even possible to stay there. Everyone in the speaker's seat will be deducted points from the algorithm, and it feels that the gain outweighs the loss.

8. For those who want to open up popular topics or professional topics for the public to join, it is recommended to give the audience who have just entered the room at regular intervals to popularize the topic and also introduce new speakers. In addition, it is also recommended to emphasize the audience’s motivation to stay in the room every so often (Incentive). For example, I almost challenged the room to break the thousand in the next two times. I guess it may be because it is difficult to repeat what the popular science speaker said. Understand the part, and repeat it: It doesn’t matter if you listen to some more, even if you don’t understand it, but it will still help to understand early. Let people stay, and the algorithm will help you pull more people in.

9. One last reminder: It is recommended that if there are some moderators (KOLs) with more followers to join in the room, be sure to remind him not to leave early or jump in and out, otherwise it is very likely that the KOL will leave the flow of people and not only slow down the growth. Even a large number of losses, and the algorithm determines that the content is not good, which affects the exposure and sorting, and the damage is even greater.

Clubhouse Discourse Hegemony and Reflection

On the whole, I personally think that listening to CH is more about wit and quality than listening to Podcast. I heard that some artist rooms have made many listeners disillusioned with certain artists and Internet celebrities. After all, the original well-packaged image suddenly turned into a mobile phone and instantly responded and chatted with hundreds of thousands of people. This is quite a test for one person. "true characteristics". If you are actually a boring person, then you will appear particularly boring and uninteresting on CH, on the contrary, if you are an interesting person, then you will be more interesting on CH.

In addition, I think the current state of CH that everyone saw in the early days seemed to think that there was a phenomenon of "social flattening". Everyone can talk and communicate on everything, which seems to be the democratization and decentralization of the right to speak. ; but it seems to me that all this is probably just an illusion, at least, it is likely to be only a temporary phenomenon and difficult to survive. It is estimated that in the future, CH will have a high probability to develop towards the direction of "discourse hegemony", but there will be two more people who may gain more advantages than the original under the context of this CH discourse hegemony. One is the "story type". "Characters are those who are very good at speaking but not doing, and who are good at learning, doing business, and making money well. They may be very popular here. After all, as an audience, you are willing to spend time on Google a few times. Are the self-introductions of those CH speakers who are drooling and have outstanding experience real? The other is the "inner type" character. In the past, this kind of person would overwhelm the hegemony of the auditory department because of the discourse hegemony of the visual department, and the discourse hegemony of the curatorial/packaging type would overwhelm the real-time speech and hegemony. These will be reversed in CH. Come on, more quickly than the wave of podcasts is going to flip. In CH, where there is almost no visual stimulation, and there is no way to curate and package (of course, it may not be ruled out in the future), those who have a true inner self and respond fast enough will gain more advantages here.

Epilogue

In short, many people ask me whether CH will succeed? What I think of is that when the wave was very popular, everyone was sending earthquake texts to keep warm; with FB, everyone changed to FB to send earthquake texts to keep warm, and there was an earthquake the night before, and at least 10 earthquakes shook within 30 seconds. Room discussion room, then you say CH will be successful?

Where there is warmth, people go. The colder the future of technology, the more it is necessary to connect with more people through keyboards and fingers to keep warm. - Whether or not the technological singularity is near, as long as people are still people, this thing will generally not change.

The above is my opinion, welcome to repost, and welcome to continue to follow my Clubhouse account "Dr. Bao" @dAAAb, and don't hesitate to press the little bell to follow, I will notify you next time I open a room!
