Very Short Story|Creator of Cafe

(edited)
You can say that he is such an artist, his mental condition is always in the beginning of a serious illness

You can say that he is such an artist, his mental condition is always in the early stages of recovery from a serious illness, and he always seems to be pleasantly surprised by his newly recovered body. How much power does it have to consume? He felt that he had slept for a long time, wasting too much time, and now he had to start creating.

But he never wasted time, in fact, he was always writing, but after all, he failed to achieve his goals, and I doubt that he never actually completed a work. Even if he said he started writing a novel today, he gave up after writing less than 5,000 words. Later, he said he would simply write a short story. Then he felt that the short story could continue to develop, so he changed it to a novel... Every time I encountered He was always creating something, but he couldn't tell what it was.

I met him at the coffee shop a few months ago, still sitting in the old seat in the corner, and I took the initiative to walk over to say hello to him.

"Are you writing the novel you mentioned last time?"

"Which time? I'm writing today about inspiration from a dream I had last night. I was hit by a bus and I saw my soul ascend to heaven... Guess what? I'm not dead, my body is still wandering the world !"

"Oh, but isn't this theme a bit familiar? There are many movies and plays with similar stories."

"Is it? You can't understand. What I write is different from others. Don't compare popular novels with my creations. This story will explore the soul from a deeper angle."

"Similar to a philosophical novel? You know it's not easy to write with a small readership. Why didn't you write the 'inspiration to chat with someone in a coffee shop' last time?"

"That one last time? I forgot. It seems that I wrote it and felt boring. Since I am not interested, how can I expect readers to be interested?"

"Yeah, you're right. Good luck with your creation!"

He continued to write without saying goodbye to me.

He is a middle-aged man who looks indifferent on the outside, but at first he took the initiative to talk to him, that was two years ago. Seeing that I was reading a literary magazine, he suddenly said, "There are still people reading this kind of magazine." I couldn't tell whether his tone was an exclamation or a question, so I politely asked, "Do you like reading literature, sir?"

As a result, he said in a contemptuous tone, "Hmph, what kind of literature do you young people know today? Don't they just read online articles!"

I didn't want to have a conversation with such an arrogant person, and I felt very unhappy to be looked down upon as a literary editor, so I fought back. I said that I wanted to talk about any kind of literature, any style or era, and I could accompany him to chat. Anyway, I happened to be put out by a writer that day, and I was not in a hurry to go back to the company.

Later, when we met unexpectedly, he was always full of energy.

I even asked the waiter at the coffee shop implicitly at one point, did he take any drugs to help him wake up? Does he really go there every day to create and stay there all day without getting tired? Of course they asked me not to ask too much, which gave me more room to imagine.

I always felt that he was curious about everything like a child, but his continuous enthusiasm was too short. The amazing thing is that he can find creative inspiration every day. It seems that he can give up the previous one without persuading himself and start a new one. He can always maintain a fresh intoxication - I have also seen this feature in many writers. . His spirit is very fragile and full of sensibility. I guess he is relying on inspiration to create. This is really like a child. He may have been a gifted child when he was a child, so he still insists on creating.

Why am I so interested in him, you ask? I can't tell, sometimes I wonder if he's actually a famous writer? Maybe he wrote those works but didn't tell me, assuming he has finished the works he mentioned, then everything is reasonable. Of course, he can't talk too much detail with a stranger, and if his creation is never finished, How do you stay in a coffee shop every day without having to work? Of course, it cannot be ruled out that he may be a person who does not need to work and does not need to worry about money. After all, he does have an indomitable temperament. If he is not born well, he may be a very talented artist.

But I haven't seen him in nearly two months now, and if he really was a well-known author, I would hate myself for missing the chance to read the first draft of a famous book, or even get a chance to be his editor.
