I love listening to podcasts whenever I'm driving alone. It's been over a year since I developed this habit. Over the past year, I have listened to a lot of Podcast programs, opened my eyes and gained knowledge.

I recently listened to the " Mario's Drink With You " podcast. Mario invited lawyer Li Jingqi, the host of another podcast show "Big Trouble", to be an interview guest. The themes revolved around marijuana, including law, medical treatment, global marijuana decriminalization, etc. Wait. Attorney Li Jingqi is a supporter and promoter of the cannabis legalization movement in Taiwan.

In the " Big Trouble " Podcast program, I learned that there is an authoritative cannabis book "The CBD Bible", the Chinese version was published in March this year called " Cannabis CBD Bible ". The author, Dr. Dani Gordon, is a leading expert in cannabinoid medicine and integrative medicine, treating thousands of patients with medical cannabis in North America and the UK, and training the UK's first doctors of cannabis medicine.

I tried searching online to see where the book was available in Hong Kong. Maybe too new plus logistics problems under the epidemic or the title of this book is sensitive, in short, it has not been found in Hong Kong. Ended up buying the ebook version and embarking on a cannabis exploration journey.

In addition to reading, I also watched two documentaries about cannabis on Netflix: Weed The People and Grass is Greener. I recommend everyone to see it, and if you know more, you will benefit.

I have always had a negative misconception about marijuana, like many others, that it is the same as other drugs like methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, etc. This time, after reading and researching the topic of cannabis, I learned about its historical development, medical effects, why it is stigmatized as a drug, and so on. Only then did I realize that it originally involved issues such as racial discrimination, state governance, drug consortia, and so on. This has led to a negative perception of cannabis in the general public, completely ignoring its medical utility and benefits.

Thailand in January removed cannabis from its list of controlled drugs, becoming the first country in Southeast Asia to legalize it. The country’s Ministry of Health announced recently that the government will distribute free cannabis to households across the country in June to promote the new regulations.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health Anutin Charnvirakul said on a social platform on Sunday (8th) that the government will distribute 1 million free cannabis plants to households across the country in June to encourage people to grow cannabis on their own. Anutin hopes that cannabis will become like a "household crop", "a move that will allow the Thai people and government to earn more than 10 billion baht (about 2.3 billion Hong Kong dollars) in additional revenue from cannabis each year." Under the new regulations, Thai people can grow marijuana at home after notifying the government from June 9, but it must be medical-grade marijuana and used for medical purposes. If it is used for business, it must apply for a license.
