雖非佛教徒，宗教建築還是能讓人靜心，花蓮吉安慶修院便是這樣的地方。

Chinghsiu Temple of Jian is a place that you could find your inner peace. It’s alright if you weren’t a Buddhist.

慶修院供奉的佛像，以請自日本四國的八十八尊神像最值得一看，金身佛像固有其宗教性引人朝拜功能，但逐一觀看這些面目不一、各有表情的石刻神像，似乎比直視金光耀眼或色彩鮮豔神像更令人靜心。

There’re a lot of Buddha statues in this temple. It seemed to me that the “88 Buddha statues from Shikoku” are great.

I liked those stone statues more than any other colorful gods statues in Taiwan. The faces of these Buddha created a power of silence.

如果看得很慢，能從沒塗色的石刻，看出雕刻師傅刻像時的想法。

If you watched these stones statues slowly & carefully, you would reach the statues makers’ thought.

1917年興建的廟裡，另有不動明王、毘沙門天王，以及直立高約2米的「光明真言百萬遍」石碑。

The temple built in 1917 with a lot of aged religious arts.

不過，除八十八尊神像外，弘法大師空海站立樹下，也讓人印象深刻；放下信仰不談，拿著法杖一步一腳印走過極遠距離，其意志力本身就形成讓人沉思的力量。

There’s a statue of Monk Master who brought the religion here under an old tree. You could imagine that he walked a long way to preach the Buddhism carried only the crutch & a bamboo hat with him.

That’s a power of will. That made people think.

慶修院或能靜心，但不能淨心，人要淨心，只能求自己。

Chinghsiu Temple of Jian is a place that you could find your inner peace. But it’s not a place could really clear all evil thoughts from you.

You can clean all the evil thoughts by yourself only.
