Walk around Kiev to the places of events of the revolution.
This is what Independence Square looked like.

10 years have passed since the historic event. Then the Ukrainian people protested against the power of President Yanukovych. About 100 protesters were killed and Yanukovych fled to Russia.

I walked around the city and remembered the events of the past.

This is not the first revolution in independent Ukraine. All revolutions began from the city center in Kiev, on Independence Square.

The trigger of revolutions is the arrival of the pro - Russian government to manage the people every time.

I made such boards with photos on Independence Square. Here, a photographer captured protesters carrying a dead comrade on a stretcher.

This is what this square looks like today during the war.

The protesters in the square defended themselves from the police, creating barricades and setting fire to car tires. Stones and bottles of gasoline, Molotov cocktails were thrown at the police. Some policemen were injured.

The weather was particularly warm today, similar to spring. So I went further from Maidan Nezalezhnosti. Sad feelings and thoughts about the past and present made me lose my joy.

The photo shows an improvised place of memory of an outstanding person. This is a singer and Patriot, Kuzma Scriabin. I was lucky in my life to be able to talk to him. For me and for many Ukrainians, this is a great loss.

One of the exits from the Khreshchatyk metro station.

Kiev does not look cheerful and joyful. Ghost town. There are people, but very few. Also, constant rocket attacks and air alarms are forcing people to hide in the underground subway.

Not far from the theater are bronze figures of outstanding artists.

On my way to one of my favorite places, I came across such a car.

There is a Catholic Church next to Independence Square. Sometimes I like to sit here in silence.

I haven't asked God for anything in a long time. He's not a wizard who fulfills whims. I have long lost contact with God, but the spiritual path is not over.

Even the sculptures are hidden under a layer of bomb protection.

The Dnieper River, which divides Kiev and Ukraine into left and right parts.

The monument depicts Vladimir, who brought Christianity to our lands. In 998, the baptism of Kiev residents took place. (source)

Here I will finish our story.
