Talk about the "mandala thinking method", how to use a nine-square grid to formulate plans and inspiration
What is mandala thinking?
Mandala thinking is derived from the Sanskrit word "Mandala"
Composed of the words "Manda" + "la"
The Sanskrit word "Manda" means the essence, the essence; "la" means to have, to have, so the overall meaning of "Mandala thinking" is "to obtain the essence" or "the thing with the essence".
It mainly uses two thinking techniques, "radioactive thinking method" and "spiral thinking method" to improve the level of learning. In the vernacular, it is a way of thinking to simplify and concretize things.
radioactive thinking
Taking the central square of the nine-square grid as the core theme, related concepts are extended outward.
for planning
To give an example of a well-known Japanese star, "Otani Shohei", who is known as a "monster" and "two swordsman" in the Japanese baseball world, used Jiugongge to write his plan as early as high school, as shown in the figure below.
First write down the ultimate goal "No. 1 in the eight-ball team" in the center of the grid, and then list "physique", "ball control", "ball quality", "ball speed 160km/h", "change ball" and "luck" according to this core. Eight different aspects of "human nature" and "psychology" are listed, and eight practical methods are listed respectively to help achieve the goal.
Or you can also write "big goals" (ex dreams, what kind of person you want to be..) in the center box, and write "small goals" that allow you to reach the end in the other eight boxes, and then write them down separately. Decide what specific actions you must take.
- Digression: After seeing this method, I also tried to write it once, and I think the effect is quite good. It is more "comprehensive" than the general point-based schedule. You will think about it in the process of thinking. It is more thorough, and because I tried it and thought it was good, I decided to write an article to share it with you. As for the content of the Jiugongge I wrote, I will not disclose it here (I want to hide my face when I think of it...).
for inspiration
For example: product sales can also use the nine-square method, as shown below
Whether it is a designer, a writer, an entrepreneur...anyone who needs inspiration to plan ideas, they can use this nine-square grid to stimulate themselves to add a variety of thinking angles, so that we can think horizontally.
spiral thinking
The spiral thinking rule is to formulate plans in a clockwise manner and in sequence, most of which are used for thinking arrangements with a process nature, which is a kind of vertical thinking.
E.g:
After the central theme is listed, fill it in clockwise, which can be used for daily planning, weekly planning, etc.
The above is the sharing of this time. I hope you can effectively use the mandala thinking method to activate your thinking method, or make a plan of your own nine-square grid. Finally, don’t forget to act bravely!
