【Summary of Staged Writing】Who am I? where am I? What am I going to do? 🤪

Originally, I planned to write this summary when Matters wrote 100 articles. But recently I felt the need to do some retrospectives in order to better move on; so let's take this 30th article as a summary.

Why do you come to Matters to write - to become fans? Earn coins? make friends? These are all great added values, but the main purpose of my writing is really just to sort out my thoughts and explore "me" . Of course, writing on Matters is not the same as writing a diary for yourself. Articles written for others should firstly be a topic that others will be interested in and resonate with, and secondly, the meaning should be clear and can contribute to the dialogue. Because of this premise, the thoughts I wrote in Matters were indeed more rigorous and meticulous than the scattered ravings in my diary.

7 small fresh, literary transformation

Beautiful Island's song series, written in the summer of 2018, is the first time I have written a record of about 5,000 words in Chinese after going abroad for many years. When I went to Taipei to attend a friend's wedding, I took the train to travel around the island, passing through cities and villages I had heard of in film and television works. I had a very intuitive feeling about Taiwan's history and current trends of thought, and was deeply shocked. I have been away from the Chinese environment for a long time, and after thinking about it, I still have to admit that at this time only in Chinese can I accurately express my feelings. I am not familiar with the traditional Chinese network, and it is inconvenient to publish it on the simplified Chinese WeChat, so I just circulated it among my friends, and soon forgot it.

In a flash, the outbreak of the 2020 epidemic. At that time, I had already started taking some writing classes and doing regular writing exercises; at the same time, the censorship of Jianzhong Internet was so serious that the whole world could no longer ignore it, and I suddenly had a "kind of" feeling: Why should I self-censor? So I found Matters, and as a test of the water, I posted a travel note in Taiwan, but in fact, it was mainly to post the New York quarantine diary . After that, I only wrote in Chinese when I participated in the Chinese writing class. The two small fresh articles published in November 2020 that he opened my dream store and traveled with her 2020 were both homework assignments for the writing class. However, because my relatives and friends in China can't read Matters, and I haven't found a sense of community in Matters, so in 2021, I tend to publish my insensitive small fresh compositions on Douban. Of course, we now know that even Xiaoqingxin may be blocked by Douban at any time, and I will delete the Douban account again.

6 angry essays, including the Circumcision Trilogy

The term "cutting seats" was learned from Hong Kong people. The Norwegian director made the documentary Do Not Split, which is in anti-extradition. However, I heard that the Chinese-Chinese media translated Do Not Split as "do not split", saying that the anti-extradition is for national reunification. die laughing. Later, friends from the mainland began to talk about "cutting the seat" with something.

Back to Matters again this March. Because of the outbreak of various social unrest, my thoughts urgently need to be sorted out, so in the past few months, while watching the news, I have written 6 angry articles that are not so fresh. Among them, The Kingdom of Leviathan , Taking Back My Language and Roots and Wings as an Immigrant , I summarize them in my Circumcision Trilogy. After I finished writing, I put it down: I accepted where I came from, and confirmed that I would never look back.

15 blockchain related experience notes

• Participated in Matters' online study meeting, wrote 5 series of study notes , got encouragement from @Matty and the Matters team, and also received Like Coin rewards for the Web3 Q&A event hosted by@cauliflowerDenken!
• Participated in the Space game test, wrote 5 game appreciation articles, had a good time, and met many friends - the first time I got the project airdrop! One of them also participated in the UBI essay contest initiated by @yusen, and received a lot of Like Coins for the first time!

2 other Matt City community activities, which are not so fresh and fresh

• Participated in the "Suffix" citizen interview activity, interviewed Lola , and got acquainted with the great editor @Jeger, and joined the very advanced "Suffix" club
• I was fortunate to be invited by "Suffix" and wrote a short comment on the article about the taboo of menstruation

Why am I still so confused? (I have been confused since the middle school and second period...

I didn’t find my own writing style, and I didn’t have a deep-rooted theme content-the reason why I wrote so many blockchain “themes” is actually because the content it can cover is too broad, politics, economics, philosophy, technology, games, art, media, financial management… Basically, the topics I am interested in can be related to it, so the blockchain is not my topic, just a carrier.

I'm confused because I'm digging holes everywhere and I don't have any expertise...
