"Metacognition" you know more about yourself
Metacognition simply means taking a closer look at how you know what you know. It's about asking yourself questions like: What is my goal? Do I need more background knowledge? Or do I need more practice?
Think about what you're thinking about, it sounds confusing, let me give you some examples
Suppose you take an exam today and think you can get 100 points, but in fact you only get 80 points, it means that metacognition overestimates the ability of the project
However, thinking that I will only take 60 points in the test, but the result is 80 points, which is another kind of metacognitive insufficiency, underestimating the ability of the project
The process of evaluating and thinking about the entire judgment and thinking is the ability of metacognition. Why do we say this? Because we often think that selfish people may be caused by insufficient metacognition.
Some bosses say that they are looking for smart employees. In fact, there is a high possibility that they are actually looking for people with good metacognition, not necessarily people with good understanding or inferences.
Therefore, improving metacognition has become extremely important. There are roughly three methods:
