Unfinished nucleic acid testing
I have been busy for a week. The first day is to prepare for leaving early and returning late, the middle two days are for leaving early and returning late, and the next two days are summarizing for leaving early and returning late.
Today, I can finally rest.
For the summer in Chengdu, this week is a rare one. There are several days when the highest temperature is less than 30 degrees, and the fan is not even turned on when sleeping.
But for many people in Chengdu, this week has also been a chaotic week. Last weekend, there was a sudden local confirmed case, which is said to be a new variant that has not appeared before. When the government panics, the people panic too. As for the government, with a sword hanging above its head, it has to panic. The people are puppets, so they can't help but panic. So, in this week when I was forced by work to keep running, I was also forced to keep running by epidemic prevention at the same time. To enter the building on the side of work, a 48-hour nucleic acid negative certificate is required, but in my district, because there are consecutive positive cases, the epidemic prevention is overweight, and a 24-hour nucleic acid negative certificate is required to leave the community. Therefore, I work during the day and work overtime at night to do nucleic acid. Fortunately, there is a stall in the community, so there is no need to run outside.
Of course, I am not the hardest. First, I am not very active in this kind of thing, and I can't understand why so many people go downstairs and line up as soon as they say hello, and the line is so long. I waited until the end, and the property manager shouted in the WeChat group: No one is lining up, everyone, go downstairs quickly, the doctor is leaving, blablabla...then go downstairs. Or put on running gear, go downstairs and see that there are still many people, so they go out and run around the community, guessing that the time is almost over. A few runs were forced out by nucleic acid testing. After traveling long distances during the day and working across half of the city for a day, I was too lazy to move when I came back. But there is no way to rest, anyway, I will be forced to go downstairs, and I don't want to line up, so I run up for a while.
I can't figure out that others like to line up, and maybe others can't figure out that I'd rather run than actively cooperate with epidemic prevention!
My mother was one of those "others". Every time there is a nucleic acid test in the community, she calls me excitedly. The test requires a health code, but she doesn't have it. I want an ID card, the ID card is here. When I'm not at home, tell her that you can go upstairs quietly, and I'll talk about it when I get back. But once, she was so impatient that she pushed my father downstairs in a wheelchair, but they refused to do it and pushed him back. I can understand my mother's enthusiasm. She loves communication all her life and follows the crowd. When she lived in the countryside, whenever the village called for a meeting, she also actively participated with a mazha and shoe soles. It doesn't matter what you talk about in a meeting, you can achieve your goal by sharing rumors with a group of people. After coming to the city, her right to participate in public affairs was completely deprived, and no one notified her of the meeting. The nucleic acid test was notified in the WeChat group. If I didn't relay it, she would have to rely on luck to find out. When she called me this time, it was the third consecutive day of nucleic acid in the community. I said that if I didn't need to go out for work, it would be too late to hide. What are you trying to do? Later, I still gave her my ID card, and by the way, I gave her my post-test certificate (a small note stating "nucleic acid has been tested"), saying that if you really want to test, go for it. If you don't want to test, just take this note and go out.
I finished running last night and wanted to ask her if she wanted to take the test. If she did, I went downstairs to accompany her, but she had already finished the test. It is said that everyone is testing, let's test what we are afraid of, and it is not troublesome, just downstairs.
It is not only my mother who is keen on nucleic acids, but there are a lot of young people in the owner group who are more enthusiastic than my mother, so it can only be understood as a kind of "submission". One time, a community worker issued a document from Chengdu, expressly stating that Chengdu citizens travel with a "48-hour" nucleic acid negative certificate. Someone took a screenshot and asked, why do we have to do it every day? Before the people in the community said a word, a group of "masses" jumped out and accused him of being troublesome, "Just do it if you want to. It's not for your own good, why have you been asking?" The person was silent.
However, compared with many places, Chengdu's measures in epidemic prevention are still moderate. From March 2020 to the present, there has been no "silence", and no gongs and drums to wake up at 5 in the morning.
Last night, the community was queuing up for nucleic acid testing, and the bottom business outside the community was open for business as usual. The tables and chairs of the restaurant are still placed on the sidewalk, and the people eating are still bustling. In the evening, the sky was beautiful. Taking advantage of the coolness, I sat in the open air for a barbecue and drank a bottle of beer. It happened that Sister Yu sent a message to care about my current situation. I sent her a photo, and she said tsk and ate barbecue again. I said yes, you have to have fun in time, in case you are locked up one day and you don’t want to eat anymore. This is not a joke, it is a real concern. Under the reset, is there a fixed number? The control of life is not in your own hands. Today I'm still talking about Chengdu's mildness, and maybe tomorrow I'll be slapped in the face and be "silent".
I think my brothers and sisters should be telling my mother on the phone not to go out as much as possible. But they must also encourage her to do nucleic acid testing, because that is the "big plan for epidemic prevention". I don't, I've flattened out in attitude. On the contrary, my mother told me not to run around whenever there was any wind. I said I don't want to, stay in the cage safely, compared to living a normal life at the risk of getting sick, I must choose the latter.
Of course she couldn't understand my choice, and my choice was still largely attitudinal. Physically, I was in the cage the whole time, and it was impossible to break free.
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
