【Huang Lao Thought】Part 1
More than 2,000 years ago, a Zhou Dynasty Tibetan official named Li Er told his old age and returned to his hometown, but was entangled by the guard general Yin Xi. Li Er must leave his writings before he was willing to let him go. If you are Li Er, what should you do? ?
A. It is rare for this young man to know the goods, so he will stay in the pass for a few years and concentrate on writing scriptures to pass on to future generations~
B. I didn't write a book when I got old, but I was harassed when I returned to my hometown. It took ten days and a half to file a complaint. What should I do? More than 5,000 words in one swipe.
C. If you don’t seek fame and fortune all your life, and you don’t write a book to be famous all over the world, how can you be threatened by others? So the old man, who was with him, cleared the siege with more than 5,000 words.
D. No longer entangled with Yin Xi, let the follower take out the notes and deal with the matter.
E. None of the above.
"Records of the Grand Historian" Lao Tzu cultivated morality, and his learning was to hide himself from no name. After living in Zhou for a long time, seeing Zhou's decline, he left. When it came to Guan, Guan Ling Yin Xi said, "Your son will go into hiding, so please write a book for me." So Lao Tzu wrote the first and second chapters of the book, and he said more than 5,000 words about the meaning of morality, and no one knows where it will end.
If you haven't read Tao Te Ching or Lao Tzu, options B and C are more reasonable. With only 5,000 characters, it's not a problem with Li Er's knowledge; With agile thinking, it is at most an article with a rigorous structure, and it can never be dozens of chapters that are both scattered and esoteric.
If you are familiar with the Tao Te Ching, the two options B and C are nonsense. How could this all-encompassing, incisive and wonderful classic book be written in a hurry under coercion at the time of getting old? It doesn’t matter, there are two more Option A, it might be possible to write a classic, but it is very unreasonable.
"Records of the Grand Historian" Lao Tzu is a native of Qurenli, Li Township, Chuku County. Confucius was suitable for the week, and he would inquire about the propriety of Laozi.
Option D. It is most likely to take out a note to deal with the matter; first of all, Li Er was an official of the Zhou royal family, and he was a university inquirer who even visited Confucius. Where did such a great knowledge come from? Of course, it is due to the exposition and research in the National Library (Collection) for many years. It is reasonable to read so many books and leave notes.
Secondly, only the royal family of the Zhou Dynasty has such a large number of incisive classics that can be classified and extracted; in addition, how can the royal family’s collection be outflow, it is estimated that even writing notes is the prerogative of Li Er; in the end, Li Er, under the persuasion of his followers, allowed Yin Xi's subordinates copied his notes, and most of the content was related to morality, so they were named "Dao Jing" and "De Jing".
The purpose of writing this article is not to infer that Li Er is not Lao Tzu, or that Li Er is not the author of Tao Te Ching, but to prove and rectify Huang Lao's thought; Tao Te Ching, a classic of the ages, is not a one-time, one-time, one-swipe However, it originated from the brainchild of three generations of sages.
The so-called three generations of sages refer to [Huang Lao]. The core of Huang Lao's thought is the governance of the three generations of sages. These sages include politicians represented by the Yellow Emperor. The terms similar to Huang Lao, such as fathers, elders, elders, etc., are always It is a respectful title for the elders, not Laozi, who specifically refers to Taoism.
I don't have the surname Lao but the surname is Li, don't you think there is something strange? The fundamental reason is that some people want Huang-Lao's thought to be limited to Li Er; if the common people know that the "Dao Jing" and "De Jing" were written by three generations of sages, it would be difficult for emperors to use Confucius and Mencius to control people's hearts. It's written by Lao Tzu alone, with a romantic and uninhibited Zhuang Tzu?
Therefore, the simple task of adapting the Tao Te Ching was handed over to the great Confucians of the Han Dynasty; many incisive and profound contents of the Tao Ching and the Te Ching were probably difficult for the Han Confucians to understand. If you want to change your mind, you just need to erase the traces of Huang Lao and make it unrealistic.
With the unearthed cultural relics excavated from ancient tombs of the Han Dynasty, the original texts before the Han Dynasty have been re-published. If you compare the ancient version of Daojing and Dejing with the current version of Daojing, you will find that they have been changed from beginning to end, with many meanings. On the contrary, it made the original broad and subtle truth become mysterious and empty, and even wiped away the traces of Huang Lao.
The "Dao Jing" is good at water management. Water is good for all things, and there is stillness. What people hate, it is almost the Tao. In the Tao Te Ching, goodness is like water, and water is good for all things without fighting. Do what everyone hates, so it is almost Tao.
"Tao Jing" is good at controlling water, [上] refers to Dayu, while "Tao De Jing" is good as water, [上] is a description of noble, changing a word, erasing the traces of Dayu's water control; tranquility and indisputable are not the same concept , the former is successful and the latter is altruistic and harmless; the crowd is different from the crowd, the former contains all things, so the conclusion [Tao] is also very different.
According to the above, Naobu deduces that "Shangshan Water Control" comes from the experience and application book of Dayu's water control. The private collection of books was exhausted, until the fall of the Qin Dynasty and the revival of Huang-Lao’s learning by Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty.
Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty only respected Confucianism and dismissed hundreds of schools of thought. Why didn't he just search and destroy it directly, instead he had to spend so much effort to tamper with it?
After all, Emperor Wu of Han was not Qin Shi Huang, Emperor Wen of Han was his grandfather, and Emperor Jing of Han was his father. He could only use tampering instead of eliminating. .
"Records of the Grand Historian" may be said: Lao Lai Zi is also a native of Chu, and he wrote fifteen chapters, talking about the use of Taoism, and Confucius said at the same time. Gai Laozi is more than sixty years old, or more than two hundred years old, and he lives by practicing Taoism.
