Comic aftertaste: "Kayahime Monogatari" The Tale of Princess Kaguya
"The Tale of The Princess Kaguya" (Japanese: かぐや姫の物質) [The Tale of The Princess Kaguya] (2013) by Isao Takahata, an animation director of Japan's Studio Ghibli, based on the classic Japanese literature "The Tale of Bamboo Tori" Animated film adaptation. "The Tale of Bamboo Tori" is a popular and well-known folklore story in Japan for thousands of years. It is said that Kaguya came from the moon and was banished to the world because of a mistake...
The beautiful style of painting is simple and complex, in addition to the small freshness of watercolor painting, but also the free and easy of ink painting; coupled with Hisaishi's soundtrack, it is a great visual and auditory enjoyment! ❤️
This is a long anime that lasts 2 hours and 17 minutes. At the end, I was stunned when there was a scene of "Meng Buddha's Reception" and a celestial girl playing music! I was really afraid that the last scene would turn into rat shit, but when Kaguya left the world, her hysterical cry left me with a good space for thinking. Perhaps, it is not the human world but the human heart that is defiled.
"The Story of Kaguya Princess" can be said to be a high-level artistic legacy. It was not only nominated for the Oscar for best animation, but also won the honorary award at the world's largest animation film festival - Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France. It is a pity to promote it. Even the popularity is not high compared to other award-winning animations. Although its ending is sad, the overall feel is pleasing to the eye. Friends who like to watch animation, don't miss such a good work.
