Review Writing|Tian Guang, and Hong Kong's "Time Revolution"
I watched the Hong Kong documentary "The Revolution of the Times". Many people will compare it to the March 18th Movement in Taiwan in 2014, but there is no way to compare the protests. The only thing that is the same is the speechless question: What kind of country and what kind of government will force the people to take to the streets?
Hong Kong has always been my favorite city, and it still is. Until I can return, I wish my Hong Kong friends all the best.
May the glory go to Hong Kong.

[rise at night]
See you at half past six. Shandao Temple Station Exit 3, in front of McDonald's.
[those nights, these days]
Forget which day you don't go straight home from get off work anymore.
It may be alone, it may be accompanied; it may be on Qingdao East Road, or it may be on Jinan Road, or sometimes it turns into Eighth Lane, Linsen South Road. In short, if you hear that there are fewer people, and that there is a danger, go wherever you want.
You are actually just an ordinary person in the island country, living your small life. Work clock system, get off work responsibility system, performance pressure, no bonus incentives, obediently pay taxes every year, and watch house prices rise steadily. You can't imagine your future a little bit, but you feel that it shouldn't be any worse.
Before this, you never thought that you were living in the dark.
It was those absurd thirty seconds that sparked an earth-shattering rush. Their cry broke the ears that you have always decorated Taiping. When you look at what they are pointing to, there is endless darkness; their statement after statement makes you slowly wake up. I don’t know when the island has become unfamiliar to you, and all the familiarity you once thought is gone. See.
You were still doubting the authenticity of these things, and you just wanted to live your life as usual. You're thankful that you can stay out of it, just because the job you do for a living isn't covered by these laws. You feel that everything has nothing to do with you.
But things don't seem to be that simple, just like life can never be easy. Your classmates, your friends, your relatives, your family, your lover, the invisible darkness is like a vortex, swallowing and inhaling the people around you one by one, taking you together. You can't let go because you love as much as you love this island.
So you come, carrying a lunch box for dinner, or unfinished work, and the lingering voice of the customer comes from your phone. Jinan Road, Qingdao East, Zhongshan North, Shandao Temple, National Taiwan University Hospital, Legislative Yuan, Executive Yuan, you never imagined that one day you would walk through this area like your own kitchen.
You didn't expect to see violent cops and vicious water cannons.
Thirty seconds, extending into five hundred and eighty-five hours; hundreds of people attracted hundreds of thousands of people who converged into the Kuroshio. Our innocence has been shattered, and our innocence has been awakened. The night does not go away, the dawn does not come, and we have long lost the right to be comfortable and passive. We must reach out ourselves and stir up the cover of the night.
People on the island, open their eyes and welcome the tears. You are one of those eyes, one of the tears sheds. When we turn retreat into attack, when we return to the normal track of life one by one, you still remember those passionate days and nights. If you want to believe, it's all too late.
Six in the evening, two in the middle of the night, five-thirty in the morning, eleven in the morning. Shandao Temple, National Taiwan University Hospital, Exit 3. Qingdao East Road, Jinan Road, Zhongshan North Road.
Where is dark, where to go.
[later]
We kept going until the morning light came on, until the island light came.
Do not fear the night, the light will always follow.
