Some readers told me that the copywriting methods I talked about and the examples I used for appreciation were too difficult (especially in English), and I didn’t teach some relatively simple introductory moves, so it was not very helpful for newbies. So, this article will teach two tricks for elementary school students.
This article was originally published in the " Uncle F's Hardcore Marketing School " e-newsletter, welcome to subscribe .

My previous article may be "difficult", which must be admitted, but this "difficulty" is not because the reader is a "novice copywriter", but because it requires more understanding and a little more understanding of the market and industry . After all, "new copywriting" should not be equated with "appreciation ability".

There are also some teachers outside who teach a variety of relatively elementary copywriting methods, routines, and structures, which may be easier for you to understand; in this case, I will teach you two more elementary, but also useful practice methods. help.

1. Look at the pictures and tell the story

Yes, it is the "Look at the pictures and tell the story" that elementary school students have written.

In the actual combat writing of corporate copywriting, a large proportion is actually looking at pictures and telling stories. It is very likely that when a customer or supervisor asks you to write a product copy, they will only throw you a few product pictures (even unfinished products) and a few specifications, and ask you to produce a complete set of text.

At this time, if you don’t have enough ability to see pictures and tell stories, you may feel quite troubled.

Then, please use the following set of pictures with no technical threshold (from the college exam questions) to help you write a sentence, paragraph, or a whole set of copywriting for your products (cars, luggage, and family travel):

To be able to use this set of diagrams to write copy, most people know that there are several processes:

  1. Try to reason about the correlation between the graphs, so it is the "plot";
  2. Understand the protagonists in the picture, their order, relationship, and necessity, that is, "logical relationship";
  3. Grab the turning point (usually where the exclamation mark appears);
  4. Make up the story based on the above points, and create a climax based on the turning points.

In fact, the principle of writing is exactly the same. If you can find these points in a very short period of time and have enough verbal ability to express the story, you can write at least usable copy.

Boss: "Come on, give you this product picture and write me a copy !"

2. Write hard on your web posts

There are two angles to this:

If you are someone who wants to learn to write copywriting, you might as well take advantage of every opportunity to write a post on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram… you can), practice using short and precise words, and put the seemingly simple life Trivia is more interesting and more like copywriting that helps you promote yourself.

My own three short essay writing principles are "informative, interesting, and interesting". Try it out, besides just writing "I ate braised pork rice tonight" on the photo, what can I do to make this post at least resonate in your circle of friends and let readers get more information about you ?

To give a superficial example: "It rained for a few days, and I was so depressed that even the braised pork rice seemed to turn blue."

Another angle is through the posts of the teacher who teaches you copywriting, to observe his copywriting ability in real life, and how he uses the structures taught in the classroom in his daily writing.

For an in-depth discussion of web postings, see my previous article:

Come, analyze it: Do you think this 10-word post can have nearly 250 likes, what is the reason?

(250 likes is not too much, but in terms of ordinary people's bland life trivia. It's not bad.)

Anyway...

Take the opportunity every day to practice these two simple methods, and at the same time observe the copywriting or online posts written by others from the same angle, I believe you will definitely gain something.

If not, you can come back to me without charging you.
