Press: Today we will continue to explore multiple perspectives on Xinjiang issues. The previously reprinted articles dealt with the perspectives of Uyghur intellectual elites, highly Sinicized Uyghur youths, and Uyghur cadres within the system. In fact, they are all very secular groups. religious practices. However, in fact, we know that Chinese officials have clearly pointed the finger at religion in their publicity to the public. In recent years, they have bound the four (pseudo) concepts of ethnicity-religion-religious extremism-terrorism in At the same time, allow some opinion leaders even within the system to pour dirty water, dehumanize Muslims, demonize Islamic civilization, and incite hatred among the people.

But it is strange that friends in the Chinese and most English-speaking worlds who can still speak for the Xinjiang issue tend to avoid and ignore religious matters. Forced sterilization, forced labor, and forced sinicization are violations of human rights, but isn't the violation of religious freedom also a violation of human rights? This has also sparked outrage in the Muslim world, as they know that Western politicians may "sympathize" with Uyghurs for some reason, but they have no chance of "sympathizing" with Muslims. What ordinary Chinese-speaking friends may not pay attention to is that in the past few years when the Xinjiang issue has been fermenting, one of the things that has attracted more attention in the Muslim world is Trump's construction of the Israeli embassy in Jerusalem. Austria and others continue to stand for Israel's persecution of Palestinians. The impact of this incident was so great that even the Hui people in China went to the US embassy to demonstrate. Therefore, many Muslims do not believe the propaganda made by the Americans for the Uyghurs at all. Whenever American politicians condemn China's crimes on Twitter, a group of Muslims will run to the following message: "Is the life of the Palestinians not life?" "Why don't you withdraw your troops from Yemen?" These remarks are incompatible with the whataboutism of the little pink. the same, is a real disgust and anger

China's Uyghurs also have a very large number of devout believers, and even we should honestly admit that there are quite a few extremists. The independent East Turkistan armed forces still exist today, and there are people who actually went to Syria to join ISIS. If you want to know more about these people, you can refer to the reports and papers written by Shi Jianyu of Baptist University, as well as the reports of Tuan Media. In Turkey and other countries, the exiled groups composed of these devout believers, and the secular circle composed of the WUC and some independent voices who are not political but have no religious beliefs, are mutually exclusive and incompatible with each other. . The former will scold the latter for "doing anything that is salty (violating Islamic law)", while the latter will say "don't say I believe in Islam" everywhere.

However, under the hegemony of public opinion in Europe and the United States, we cannot hear the voice of the former. Sadly, I don't speak Arabic or Turkish either, so I can't really find one of their editorials to show you. What I want to reprint here is an article by Chinese Hui people discussing religious freedom. In recent years, the persecution of Islam by the Xi Jinping government began in 2016, when a representative of the Muslim National People's Congress proposed to discuss the legislation of the "Halal Regulations", which triggered a heated debate in the public opinion circle. Among them, Xi Wuyi, a retired “scholar” from the Academy of Social Sciences with an official background, “became famous in the first battle”, and then she pretended to be an official spokesperson, and she kept making ridiculous proposals to restrict Islam, spreading rumors and opinions slandering the Islamic belief, and guiding netizens. Cyberbullying against Muslims who express their views. Although Muslim speech leaders insisted on speaking up, under the influence of populism and the restraint of official speeches, they were swayed and blocked. Subsequently, the government took advantage of the situation to promote "de-Halalization", restricting religious activities, removing Arabic signs, and demolishing mosques in an attempt to obliterate the social existence of Islam. Its potency is terrifying. Recently, a main theme TV series about poverty alleviation is being broadcast in the mainland. The filming location is the Xihaigu area of Ningxia, where Zhang Chengzhi's epic "Spiritual History" about the Muslim sects took place. The show is very popular in China, but no one has paid attention to the fact that there is almost no Islamic plot in the play. Several netizens asked questions on Douban, and they were immediately labeled as doing something wrong and threatened to report it. This kind of thing would never have happened even ten years ago

However, they are not only silenced at home, we cannot hear their voices abroad. In China's digital age (which I personally find very tasteless), you can see articles by liberal intellectuals, reports by investigative reporters, and messages from netizens who are deliberately reserved, but you can't see them Any occurrence of Islamic religious scholars. In reality, however, they are quite an influential group of people. When I first followed them four or five years ago, the official account they hosted was updated every day, and there were tens of thousands of followers. Their point of view is also very important: they have been staunch patriots since the twentieth century, with a religious heritage that is clearly independent of the Arab countries; at the same time, they are deeply disgusted by the hegemony of the United States and the stigma of Islam by liberals On the other hand, they are also extremely concerned and sympathetic to the Xinjiang affairs

The author of this article once served as an officially certified imam in mosques in Henan and Shaanxi, and once started a website to actively spread Islam to people. For details, please see:

The author has been promoting the "orthodox" view of Islamization in China, Muslims but no Huis, etc., but he is still constantly besieged and abused. As a result, the author was provoked to become more and more violent, and finally he was not allowed to leave Malaysia last year, no longer concealed his political views, and sent a video to criticize Xinjiang policy. When discussing the Xinjiang issue, many people describe the Hui as a "traitor". It is true that there is distrust of the Hui people in the Uyghur tradition, but on the other hand, the devout religious believers in the Hui people are grateful to the Uyghur people. This is because from the anti-rightist to the end of the Cultural Revolution, the mainland has been persecuting Islamic elites for 20 years. In order to preserve their beliefs and inheritance, many Hui people secretly went to Xinjiang, a place where ethnic policies are preserved, to avoid persecution. All scholars who study the history of Hui Islam will tell this story. So now they see the religious persecution in Xinjiang and feel the same way

My understanding of the history of Islam and Hui is still very shallow, please point out any mistakes

Yesterday, in the WeChat circle, I saw that several mosques in Zhengzhou, Henan were undergoing forced demolition and renovation. The Beida Temple, Diaogou Temple, and Arab Building were all spared. One could not help but feel that the fire was spreading fast. To those onion heads in my hometown.

At the moment, Huawei has been slashed in half, the stock market is wailing, fruit has risen to more than ten yuan a pound, and the masses are still living a life where they can’t afford to see a doctor, go to school, can’t afford a house, but none of this seems to have affected anything, and the relevant departments are still They are running around calmly, busy destroying their imaginary enemies: Onions and Tadpoles.

Chinese Muslims have always thought that this policy is only aimed at the people of Loulan, but they did not expect that the same model would soon be replicated in the provinces of the mainland, which would cause a prairie fire. Now there is only one thing that has not been replicated, which is the "school" you know. will also appear.

People are panicking and trembling, but I feel that everything is expected, because these things have been staged in the recent past, but now they are making a comeback. After 1949, everyone welcomed the new China with cheers. After only a few years of good times, the Muslims ushered in a long 20 years of catastrophe. The reason why I don't talk about the 10-year catastrophe is because the Muslim catastrophe was 10 years earlier than others. Beginning in 1958, Yang Jingren, president of the China Islamic Association, initiated the religious reform of Islam, commonly known as religious reform. Mosques were closed one after another, and the education of the church was banned. Some activists began to expose and criticize the "reactionary nature" of Islam. Some advanced imams jointly signed and wrote big-character posters accusing the crimes of the Islamic prophets. Muslims in Ningxia and other places were asked to raise pigs, and Muslims in Qingdao and other places began to be cremated after they died. Some imams with backward thinking were labeled as rightists, and many people issued statements one after another, quitting Islam. In contrast, the Loulan area is a quiet corner, and some imams have transferred the education of the scriptures there to inherit it.

After the Cultural Revolution began, Muslims became even more troubled. No one dared to openly pray or fast. After a relative's grandmother died, she was buried secretly before dawn. A large number of mosques were razed to the ground, and a large number of imams were imprisoned. Imam Jinba turned around and jumped into a well. Imam Chen Keli, who dared to speak out, was brutally killed. Hundreds of unarmed compatriots in Shadian were ordered to be massacred by the Gang of Four because they rushed into the mosque to worship.

All of these are tragedies that happened in those crazy times. At that time, even the elders of the republic were persecuted one by one, not to mention the people who were regarded as grass-roots. Three years of man-made disasters caused tens of millions of people to starve to death. People ate tree bark, grass roots, and even people. The older generation has a deep memory.

Later, Deng Gong turned the tide and put things right, and the common people ushered in a peaceful day again. The Gang of Four was liquidated, and the Muslims suffered the loss of being dumb, knocked out their teeth and swallowed their stomachs, raised a little bit of money, rebuilt the demolished mosque, and re-invited the imam. Due to the backlash from the suppression, people devoted themselves to religious life with great enthusiasm. They started to run sutra classes, even a decent Arabic school, and printed some poor quality pamphlets. Inspiration for a new generation of youth. Chanting has become a fashion that some people are chasing after, and studying abroad has also become a common practice. Entering the Internet age, people are rushing to set up websites again, and all kinds of ideas about future development collide and exchange.

However, it didn't take long for the good days of Xi Dapuben to viciously create Islamic threat theory and rumors of three modernizations in some Muhei, which led to a new round of tossing in our motherland. They made a big fuss about the Sinicization of Islam initiated by the central government, threatening to tear down all onions and wipe out all tadpole texts.

Islam has been sinicized as early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and mosques are all Chinese-style buildings. From the year I can remember, I heard old people say that the stone lions in the mosque go to the river to drink water at night. The night pearl was stolen by Nanman. If you waste food, you will be scratched by the dragon, and the dead go home and hide behind the door during Ramadan. The imam's robe is decorated with centipede buttons, and the deceased's son-in-law wants to slaughter a cow...

Is all this not Chinese enough? The reason for the black people is that the onion and tadpole texts are all suspected of desertification, and they need to be changed to white walls and grey tiles. To be honest, if someone allocates funds, I have no problem with the change. The Chinese-style temple architecture seems to be more solemn and elegant. As for the tadpole script, it is also a good thing to change it into Chinese, so that people don’t know the Arabic language and don’t know what it means. However, it is said that mosques in many places are demolished in vain and pay for themselves, which is a bit unkind. If someone rushes into my own house and thinks the European-style sofa in my living room is not good-looking, I don't mind if he pays to replace the mahogany furniture for me, but if I don't agree with him, that's a robber. In the same way, advocating Sinicization can encourage people to build Chinese-style buildings, and build a few more mosques as models. As for the existing onions, people have already accepted it emotionally. If anyone has an opinion, whoever has an opinion is against Zheng Corrupt and will implement a dictatorship. I think it is a virtue to be a robber who robs me of a European-style sofa.

Also, we have no problem with Sinicization. Why are Muslims banned from running religious schools? In all of China's 20 million Muslims, there are only ten scholastic colleges, and most of them are paralyzed. In all fairness, is this appropriate? If our party has only ten party schools with 90 million members, can our doctrine still be passed on? Not only religious schools are not allowed to run by themselves, but even Arabic schools are not allowed. Just because you have learned Arabic, you can understand the Arabic Quran? Then, after learning English, you can still understand the English version of the Bible. Are English schools banned as well? Ten years ago, according to my statistics, there were only about 20 schools in the country, and now there are not even seven or eight of these 20 schools left. In addition, many mosques have banned scripture education. This is a living fossil of Sinicization. It has lasted for hundreds of years without any problem. Why is everything now banned? Religious scriptures are not allowed to be published on the grounds that they do not have a book number, but if they want a book number, they will not give it, and if they print it themselves, they will be imprisoned. If believers do not read the scriptures, won’t they learn badly? Can religion develop healthily after being in ignorance for a long time? But they don't care about it. It is illegal to preach outside the mosque, so we can pass on our faith to our children, right? The ancestral Mizongquan is also allowed to be passed on from males to females, but you, males and females, forbid it. Isn't this trying to limit religious belief to this generation?

Muslims live in harmony with ordinary Han compatriots. Guo Degang's cross talk reflects the habits of the older generation of Tianjin people. Muslims respectfully call non-Muslim compatriots the Great Religion and Heavenly Religion, while non-Muslim compatriots respect Islam as halal religion. The love of compatriots who are so connected by blood has been cut off abruptly. They have to create some ethnic group, get a group of imperial scholars to create fake history, and lied that Muslims are Arabs, not Chinese people. As a result, the Muslims did fake dramas, and they swarmed with ethnic colors. They were different from the Han people everywhere, and even went so far as to be both Chinese. People said that we must talk about impermanence.

Onion head is the national style that they took the lead in creating, and now you want to destroy them all. Arabic is the national language that they took the lead in creating, and now they want to smear them all. If you knew this, why bother? This is not what is poor tossing?

How many farces have leftists made up and acted out? At the beginning, they ran into communism and started a people's commune, and later they divided the land to the household to do it. Back then they fought the landlords and capitalists against private ownership, and later they encouraged some people to get rich first. At that time, they destroyed the four olds and established the four new ones, demolished cultural relics and monuments, and later rebuilt the city walls and towers, using reinforced concrete to pretend to be ancient buildings. Back then they criticized Confucius, and later they sacrificed to Confucius. Back then, when they planned to have children, many people were stillborn, and later they mobilized the masses to have children. Back then they..., then they...; back then they..., then they..., I don't even need to say, the masses have an account.

History is always strikingly similar. What is happening now has actually happened in the past, so why should we panic, because not only the causes are similar, but don’t forget that the results are also similar. At that time, the old Buddha Cixi squeezed the people, made a fortune, and condoned a gang of boxers to persecute Christianity. Didn't it attract the Eight-Power Allied Forces later? Although the Qing Dynasty did not perish in her lifetime, in just ten years, the Qing Dynasty fell down and scattered, and her tomb was dug up by Sun Dianying, and her rotten and hideous body was abandoned. What a tragic end. The same is true for Mrs. Jiang Qing. As soon as the chairman died, she would have no support, and she was punished properly. Later, everything returned to its original state, the capitalists reappeared, and the old ninth returned to the stage, and she was nailed to the pillar of shame in history and became a prisoner. The temples that the Red Guards demolished in those days have been rebuilt, and the religions they banned in those days have sprung up like bamboo shoots after the rain, and within a few years, hundreds of millions of believers have developed. As for her model play, she can only show her prowess occasionally.

There are many verses in the Qur'an that teach people to walk around the earth to observe the fate of those who came before. When I was young, I was often puzzled by my own shallowness. Now, the more I observe, the more I realize, and finally I have come to a conclusion: all the tossing and tossing is for nothing.

Everything is temporary, the farce will eventually end, and the haze will eventually dissipate. After thousands of years of enduring religion, she will never die because of the tossing of a madman, and she will definitely grow stronger after experiencing the baptism of wind and rain.

However, although the mentality is peaceful, we must be fully prepared, because the human heart is sinister and crises are looming. We need to prepare for the worst and prepare for the best in order to cope with all the possibilities that appear in the long river of history.

The history of the older generation has long taught us how to deal with it. What remains unchanged is our beliefs, and inaction is for greater deeds. Therefore, after the storm comes, I hope my fellow Muslims will keep in mind that the principle of faith can never be lost, and other than that, everything can be changed. During the Cultural Revolution, didn't Imam Baiha and Imam Huang Wanjun quietly teach a group of disciples to learn Arabic at home? Some imams were forced to re-educate through labor. Can they still pray normally in prison? Even if the mosque is demolished, the house can become a temple for you to worship God, and even if fasting is forbidden, you will be rewarded for being forced to eat and drink. Taking 10,000 steps back is to force you to eat pork. The Qur'an has long said that it is not a sin to eat forbidden food even if you are forced to do so. Even forcing you to perform cremation, please believe that on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will still resurrect us intact and give us new bodies.

There is another thing they can never force, and that is faith. The belief in Allah in your heart can never be forced by them, because their technology will never be able to develop the actions that can penetrate your heart, even if there is an outside propaganda one day. The prayers have ceased, and the prayers in your heart will never cease, so as long as you have the love of Allah, no evil can be defeated.

At present, Mu Hei is raging, besieging and biting like hyenas, don’t be afraid, in fact, they are as humble as dogs. They have no lofty beliefs, so they regard smearing Islam as a life-long career. . Those Red Guards who criticized Islam back then were far more vicious than them, and later they didn't have time to repent. Some officials are precarious and may be removed at any time, and the reckoning of history sometimes comes earlier.

If they want to suppress a target, their common tactics are to give priority to public opinion, stink their reputation, destroy their spirits, and even destroy them physically. All of these are fulfilled, so Muslims must remember to be themselves. Self black. Don't let anger go to your head and fall into other people's tricks. Always remember not to target hatred against the majority of Han Chinese compatriots, they are our relatives, not our enemies. Muslims must not engage in nationalism. Even when populism is rampant, they must bear in mind the teaching of loving the world, and must not act in anger and lead to tragedy. In the late Tang Dynasty, Huang Chao rioted and brutally massacred the population of 200,000 Fanfang in Guangzhou. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the boxers rioted, created hundreds of lesson plans, and killed countless priests and nuns Christians. It is still a replica of the nest bandits. Nowadays, the anti-foreign and anti-black ideas of Huang Han and Mu Hei are rampant and rampant on the Internet. In fact, they are a new generation of boxers. In the first year of Tongzhi, Muslims in Shaanxi and Gansu were coerced into rebellion because of group fights. It was absolutely wrong to target ordinary Han compatriots, and even ethnic rivalries occurred, which led to the suppression of the Qing court, and millions of compatriots became knives. The ghost below, and lost the Guanzhong home forever. This bloody lesson is vivid in our minds, telling us that we should never isolate ourselves and mess with nationalism, which resulted in public anger and fatalities.

At present, the nationalism of Muslims is intensifying. Conflicts between Hui and Han in Henan, Hebei, and Han have occurred from time to time. Online scolding is even more common. Muslims have centrifugal force and recognize Persia or Saudi Arabia as their spiritual motherland. The black people are scolding "Go back to Arabia", which makes me shudder. I really worry that the tragedy of Tongzhi will repeat itself in the near future.

It should be noted that the culprit is by no means the general public. It was the Manchu rulers who suppressed Muslims in the late Qing Dynasty, not the toiling masses. It was the same afterwards. During the Cultural Revolution, other Han compatriots suffered with us, and it is the same now. While the crime of desertification is being suppressed, Christian compatriots and Buddhist compatriots are also being persecuted. Their situation is not much better than ours. Weizhou Temple was saved after tenacious struggle, but Wenzhou Sanjiang Church was razed to the ground. The domes of the mosques are being demolished, the crosses of the Christian churches are being demolished, the Arabic language of Muslims has been smeared, and the Spring Festival couplets posted on the doorsteps of Christians have been torn off.

The Chinese nation is a nation that suffers a lot. If the negativity and inferiority of Chinese culture are not changed, disasters will still repeat endlessly. What Muslims have to do is to share the same fate with the Chinese compatriots, instead of just playing their own small calculus, setting up a new door, or even abandoning their compatriots and drifting away. Have we forgotten the teachings of Allah? You have to contact relatives. Have we forgotten the teachings of the Prophet? He always remembered his nation. So, do we remember our nation? Have you ever thought that God created us in this Chinese land, and we should do something for the Han compatriots in this land? If you can't do anything, at least you can show them the benevolence and peace of Islam, and when the national disaster is at stake, stand together with them and experience the storm with them.

When the wind and rain come, the most important thing to do is to go home and collect the clothes, instead of blaming your neighbors, because your neighbors are also suffering from the wind and rain. What you should do is to treasure the scriptures that have been passed down from generation to generation, educate your children, pray to your Lord in secret, and wait for his help.

Haven't you ever been in the situation of the ancients, thinking that you will enter heaven? The ancients were so afflicted and traumatized that even the messenger and his fellow believers said, "When will the help of Allah come?" Indeed, the help of Allah is at hand. (Quran 2:214)
