Welcome to the Chinese online course "Where is China Going: Political Parties, States, and the International Order"

Where is China Going: Political Parties, States, and the International Order? is an online course in Chinese for the world. In 24 thematic lectures, we will discuss with you China's political transformation. By analyzing China's communist revolution, party-state system, ideology, legal human rights, social structure, international relations, etc., you will understand the latest developments in Chinese political research at home and abroad, and master more analytical tools and thinking approaches, so as to understand the " Where is China going?” gives a deeper and more detailed answer to the question that concerns the fate of countless people. This course will give you the opportunity to interact directly with leading scholars in related fields and meet people around the world who care about the same issues as you.

The course is free to register, and if you complete 20 courses, you will receive a certificate of completion issued by The New School for Social Research, a well-known university in the United States. Unregistered friends are also welcome to attend. The course video will be published on YouTube and other platforms, and you can watch it at any time.

Course time: From October 25, 2022, every Tuesday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am EST

Speaker Profile:

Teng Biao : Hauser Scholar at Hunter College, City University of New York, Pozen Guest Lecturer at the University of Chicago, Human Rights Lawyer, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of China Democracy Quarterly. Research areas include sociology of law, Chinese justice, human rights, social movements and democratization.

Li Anyou : A well-known sinologist, chair professor of the Department of Political Science at Columbia University. Research areas include Chinese politics and diplomacy, comparative politics, democratic theory, political culture and human rights theory.
