Heart-warming German movie "Goodbye Lenin"

Taking Berlin at the time of the collapse of East Germany as the time and space background of the story, it is warm and delicate, with tears in laughter, and depicts a touching and affectionate film.

The following is no thunder experience

The first time I watched "Goodbye Lenin" was in 2007, not long after I had studied German. After traveling to Berlin in 2016, I watched it again. I have to say that after I went to Berlin, I saw all kinds of Berlin in the film. The symbolic landmarks are particularly sensual, but I haven't seen it on the big screen, it's always been my favorite German film, and it just happened that the digital restoration had been re-released in theaters a while ago, so I decided to go three times. This movie really feels different every few years. Every time I watch it, I find new details. The young Daniel Brühl is really fragrant, his acting is very natural, the voice of the narration is also very good, and the color of the film is so retro and beautiful. Looking back, I miss Berlin again.

Young Daniel Brühl smells so good

"Goodbye Lenin" is a very warm and delicate film. It is a film with tears in laughter and touching family feelings. It can be easily understood without a very knowledge of the historical background. I admire the screenwriter's skill in writing stories and lines. The film's visual style, soundtrack (like "Emily Rabbit" is written by Yann Tiersen), interpretation... are also fascinating, the director is good at using symbolism, and there are also some real historical fragments interspersed in the film. , The rhythm of the whole film is smooth, and there are many parts that make people laugh. It is still my favorite German film, and it is also the kind of literary film that will linger in my heart for a long time. And the biggest inspiration of this movie, I think, is that living in any country and any system is secondary, and family love is eternal.

The statue of Lenin beckoned past her mother's eyes. This scene is really beautiful.

I just saw on the news yesterday that the Russian actress Chulpan Khamatova, who plays a Russian nurse in this film, can only leave Russia to avoid political pursuit because she criticized Russia's aggression against Ukraine. 🤷‍♂️
