"Overseas Survival Guide" Proposal Concept Note

A guide is not just a principled text, it needs to be added with its own experiences or events to be impressive. Like an old navigator telling the thrilling journey of the past, while reminding the young crew of the things to pay attention to.

The minimum word limit for articles submitted for this community proposal is set at 1200 words. On the one hand, it is mainly based on participation awards, and everyone has awards, and the difficulty should not be too low. On the other hand, I think the guide is not only a principled text, but also needs to be added. It will be impressive only on your own experiences or events. Like an old navigator telling the thrilling journey of the past, while reminding the young crew of the things to pay attention to.

In the previous chemistry class at the university, it was said that one should read the chemical safety material data sheet and simulate the drill sequence in advance before starting the experiment.

But here in Europe, a story was told at the very beginning. A well-known senior professor followed the correct steps, wearing gloves and other safety protection measures, to prepare a highly toxic chemical. Accidentally dripped onto her gloved hand in the process, but she thought she had followed the correct steps to protect herself, wiped it dry, and immediately discarded the glove, so she didn't care. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for her to pass away. After that, major newspapers reported that the government also established a system, strictly enforced it, and listed all those who died due to experimental accidents on the website, in order to commemorate and alert the younger generation. After reading this story, I started talking about principled things.

(Speaking of this, I can’t help but make a fuss. Not only are there not many relevant reports in Taiwan, but accidents are often covered up for the sake of the school’s reputation, and the rights and lives of researchers and students are not taken seriously and protected.)

With events and experiences, coupled with some principles, can deepen memory. As far as I'm concerned, the "Overseas Survival Guide" is probably something like this. Therefore, I also hope that everyone can share the events they encountered abroad and describe the process, so that people who want to live there can refer to and have a deep impression in advance.

There is no hard and fast rule on how you should write, just to provide you with some ideas for reference.
