Memories in the Village

This is a chapter I cut out from a magazine. This is some memories of the designer Fang Xu introducing his hometown. I really liked the typography and tone of this article, so I cut it out and enjoyed it as a collection. I don’t know how everyone who loves to create records their inspirations in their infancy?
Another reason I like this special is because it uses a lot of "close-up shots", it feels like going deep into the environment to explore and understand, I like the feeling of observing the tiny things around you, as if every detail There are beautiful surprises hidden, waiting for us to slowly discover.
Therefore, I also took these two clips with great interest one day to explore the military village near the company. As I walked, I rejoiced with my luck. I finally practiced taking a small step in my life. Around my life, there is beauty at my fingertips, but I often just pass by, but there is nothing special about it. Slow down and enjoy. This one is a broken window, but I think it's beautiful, and old things often carry a sense of story.
There is a green field near the military village. At this time, the wheat ears are ripe. I saw sparrows fly from the field and stop on the telephone pole. The strange thing is that there are no scarecrows here, only a natural green. Kindly share the delicacies with all things in nature.
Mottled door. What color was this door? is it red? White or another color? There are traces of the years that have long been unused in the military village. I think there were people here who lived very actively here, right?
peephole. This is a design that used to be used for people in the house to view the outer wall, and some people will use it to borrow small things (eg: soy sauce) or chat. I walked around the military village and found that the original peephole still has various designs and shapes, which is really interesting.
Red brick wall. I think many people like the simplicity of the exposed red bricks as much as I do! I still remember that when I went to Jiufen to listen to the introduction, I mentioned that the old houses over there were made of TR bricks <Taiwan Renga>. This should not be the case in the military village! But I think it is very beautiful. This military village is not deliberately planned as a tourist area, so it retains a lot of original flavor.
Mottled red door. The rusty look of the door felt especially fragile, but there was still an old charm in my eyes.
Zoomed in on the lock on the previous photo. I asked my husband, "Is there no one living in these houses?" He said, "It should be, it looks like they haven't been renovated, maybe it will be planned by the government later!" So we thought, "Will it be demolished one day? Or will the city government have other plans?" Although old things are no longer as practical as new ones, old things don't mean they can't be used, but Let's see how we define that "use".
This is a shelf designed to hold flag poles. Every household has it.
The design of the racks where the flag poles are inserted is slightly different for each household. Looking at these, I wondered what the scene was like back then?
The very chic peepholes are classical architectural aesthetics. I think this military village is the tears of the times, because it has a kind of abandoned beauty. If someone can tell me the story here, I should laugh out of the tears.
Said that this military village is completely unoccupied, and it is not! A few households are still visible. Like this green potted plant, don't you know it was raised by humans? Or God-raised? But it is certain that the Spring Festival couplets of organic households are still new!
This door frame is "Ocean Green", which should not be difficult to see in military villages. I learned from the special introduction in Fang Xu that there may be two reasons why military military villages often use this color. One is because the troops used this color as paint before, and they can be brought home when they are not used up, and the other is because it is cheap. ! Now it seems that this "ocean green" has become the representative color of spring.

After this expedition, I have my own memory of the military dependents' village. Although I have never lived in the military dependents' village, one thing is remembered, and it may have been through various forms, isn't it? I hope this beauty can be passed down, and I hope that some predecessors can tell stories to our younger generations. Every era has its most beautiful appearance. I like the way I grow up in my life now, do you too?
