Here's What LGBTQ Celebrities Are Wearing at the Met Gala 2022

On the top fashion stage, there is no shortage of looks that break the gender binary, and non-binary dressing is no longer purely an expression of sexual orientation and gender identity.

The Met Gala, known as the "Oscars of the fashion industry", was held on May 2, and there were many invited LGBTQ performers and celebrities in the fashion industry whose red carpet looks echoed the Gilded Age theme. Many dresses boldly break the stereotype of gender binary, such as:

Supermodel Cara Delevingne wears a sexy gentleman's look in a Dior red velvet suit lined with gold lacquer and gold chain decoration;

Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele and muse Jared Leto kick the dead rabbit with off-white sequins and a peach-pink bow tie;

Crown actress Emma Corrin's mischievous tribute to late 19th-century "Playboy" celebrity Evander Berry Wall;

Fashionista Fredrik Robertsson wore a special evening dress inspired by silver sea creatures by Iris van Herpen with pearl eye makeup;

Broadway producer Jordan Roth broke through the traditional black and white suit, wearing Thom Browne with a mysterious smokey makeup on the spot to stage "Broken Chrysalis".

There are also Pose actor Michaela Jae Rodriguez, The Miseducation of Cameron Post actor Chloë Grace Moretz, Ariana DeBose who just won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, MIB actor Tessa Thompson and model/singer Janelle Monáe and other red carpet looks show their unique qualities.

On the top fashion stage, there is no shortage of looks that break the gender binary, and non-binary dressing is no longer purely an expression of sexual orientation and gender identity. In fact, dressing style is one of the ways of self-expression, and even an attitude to life. Labeling gender temperament limits the possibilities of fashion. I hope that diverse clothing styles can be more popular, so that we can be more courageous to wear our own attitude in daily life!

PS. Met Gala - An annual tradition held on the first Monday of May for more than 70 years to raise funds for the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (“MET”) in New York. For the past decade, the Met Gala has been chaired by Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of American Vogue, coordinating charity dinners and dominating the guest list. Invited celebrities from the entertainment industry and socialites will dress up according to the designated theme of the conference. This year's theme echoes the current MET Institute of Fashion exhibition "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" (In America: An Anthology of Fashion), which explores the evolution of American style and showcases the golden light of the 19th century under the theme of the Gilded Age. Sparkling high-key luxury beauty.
