New Year's

The Wuhan pneumonia virus is set to continue to spread in the Hong Kong community. This year's Lunar New Year, accompanied by Hong Kong people, is still the so-called "epidemic prevention measures" such as the order to limit the gathering of two people, the ban on dine-in in the evening market, and the low and a social climate full of resentment. The New Year's Eve Market has changed from announcing the cancellation to a disorderly arrangement of "New Year's Flower Sales Points" (although from the perspective of environmental protection, the New Year's Eve Market would have produced a lot of meaningless products and quickly turned into garbage), and many New Year's Eve activities that existed in previous years also were removed, or strict controls were added. Officials who do not eat human fireworks have also repeatedly warned the public not to gather with relatives and friends during the festival, and even demonized the traditional and important act of greeting the New Year.

My family has not tied many traditional "customs" during the Lunar New Year for many years, such as what to eat and where to go, and as the elders get older, many red tapes and insults are gradually discarded. "Exchange of gifts" is also getting tired, so in the past Lunar New Year, my family didn't need to do a lot of "engineering", and they didn't even add new clothes stickers, buy new year flowers and prepare a whole box. And I didn't see some relatives that year, and it wouldn't be considered a big problem. I will be even more bored by the twenty-year-old New Year songs. If I am unfortunately "bombed" by these songs for a period of time, I have to listen to a lot of pop songs to neutralize it.

Even though I feel very weak about the Lunar New Year, I still feel that the New Year atmosphere in Hong Kong this year is much more deserted than in previous years. In recent years, due to various reasons, the new generation in Hong Kong do not like to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Staying at home or going out to "avoid the Lunar New Year" is also a common favorite of many people. However, businesses and media are increasingly reluctant to close their business during the Lunar New Year. However, the frequency of these things appearing this year has also been greatly reduced. Although for me, this has also brought a little "six senses of tranquility", but this is always a reflection of the weak economy and the collapse of the people's hearts. The phenomenon.

Facing the Lunar New Year, there are still some contradictions in my heart. Although I don't care how to spend the Lunar New Year, I watched the traditions of the Lunar New Year gradually disappear (for example, some Lunar New Year snacks are no longer well-known to young people), and they were exiled, immigrated, imprisoned, and quarantined for "epidemic prevention". People who are unable to reunite with their families will still feel pity and anger, and feel that it is a cruel and inhumane measure to oppress the commoners at the end of the year and make it impossible for people to celebrate the festival well. This year's "anti-epidemic" has made it impossible for Hong Kong people to eat the New Year's dinner, go shopping in the streets, have no New Year's cards, and not pay New Year's greetings. It may not be a big deal for their own families, but for some families who take traditional concepts more seriously, There may have been a lot of disputes and even family changes because of this.

There was an urban legend that was popular in Hong Kong in the past. During the Lunar New Year period, the government enforcers would be open to certain behaviors. For example, illegal parking will not be copied, and hawkers will not be chased away and charged. Everything has become a no-brainer. Five years ago on the first day of the Lunar New Year, the fish ball revolution brought about by defending the rights of hawkers to sell hawkers brought the first batch of political prisoners and exiles to Hong Kong. ” (illegal) night market, when patronizing these hard-won hawker stalls, friends will also not forget to remind that everyone can sell and play in a relatively peaceful environment. Human blood and sacrifices, but the "anti-epidemic" is afraid that this hard-won "extra-legal zone" will be forcibly terminated this year. What should be the joyous Lunar New Year, but there are always a large group of people haunted by irreparable pain and scars.

The Chinese New Year has a detached status in the Chinese society. No matter how much the new generation does not like it or despise it, I believe that this festival will not disappear and be forgotten by the world. However, the way to celebrate the festival is also restricted everywhere, traditions and activities that do not suit the regime's preferences are banned, and the New Year that cannot be celebrated according to one's own preferences and pace, is everyone happy?

The year of Gengzi, which has experienced many storms, is coming to an end. In the face of a new year with uncertain prospects, we can only wish that peace is a blessing.
