[Food Drawer] Fried Maggi Noodles in Mamak - Maggi Goreng Mamak

The whole kitchen and living room is full of aroma! It tastes like a mamak stall XD

21-06-2021

For some reason, I really want to eat fried noodles today, and I happen to have a few packs of Maggi instant noodles from my hometown, so I will use it to fry a mamakang fried Maggi noodles (Maggi Goreng) that I grew up eating! ! !

 Small science:
Maggi = is a well-known brand of instant noodles in Malaysia Goreng = Malay word meaning "fried" or "fried"
Then Maggi Goreng means fried noodles~~~

Mama is actually the Chinese homophony of the Malay word Mamak, and the pronunciation of Mamak is actually more like "mama scolding", and why it is written as "mama" I'm not very clear, it may be more approachable XD

What does the term " Mamak " stand for? It actually refers to the Tamil ethnic group who believe in Islam , and Mamak stalls / mamak stalls refer to stalls or storefronts that sell traditional Mamak food. They feature affordable food prices and are open 24 hours a day except for Hijri New Year! So many Malaysians, no matter what race, like to gather here to eat, drink tea, chat, and watch football! Where can I find such a good place? Delicious and authentic food without financial burden, you can also get together with friends to chat, the point is that you will not be chased away no matter how late you stay! XD

So today's dinner is one of the classic mamak stall dishes - fried Maggi noodles~~~

Let me show you the true face of this well-known Maggi instant noodles in Malaysia!

Curry taste Maggi noodles~~~

Fried Maggi noodles use curry-flavored quick-cooked noodles~

Usually I cook it straight into curry noodle soup (easy and delicious), but today I just want to eat chow mein. . .

Tips for avoiding pits :

If you are not in Malaysia, please remember Maggi Curry Noodles ! must! Be sure to look for bean paste and eggs on the package , these are produced in Malaysia . Because I tried the Maggi curry noodles produced in the UK (there is only noodles in the package photo, no ingredients), the taste is really bad! too! many! ! Bar! ! ! The lack of flavor makes me ingest a bunch of calories that leave me unsatisfied, damn it. . .

Then let's start~~~

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients!

I usually use what I have in the fridge, but traditional fried Maggie noodles have eggs, tomatoes, choy sum and chicken~

Chopped toppings~~~ including garlic, bean paste, tomato, fish cakes and oversized mushrooms (I forgot to add navy beans)

Step 2: Cook the Noodles!

It's just cooking noodles, and the seasoning packet inside is set aside for later use.
I cooked four packs of Maggi noodles today, which is just enough for two people (I eat a lot, no doubt about it)
Be sure not to overcook it , otherwise it will be too soft to fry, and the taste will not be good~

Boil the noodles until soft

Remove the cooked noodles and set aside, or put them in cold water. Don't let it continue to soak in hot water, otherwise it will continue to heat and become soft~

Step 3: Fry it!

Add eggs first
Scramble the eggs, fry until fragrant
Add ingredients and stir fry (except tomato)
Add seasoning powder for quick-cooked noodles (I was afraid it was too salty, so I only put 3 packets of seasoning powder in 4 packets of noodles)
Stir fry and add tomatoes...
Add the noodles...
Add two tablespoons of tomato paste, one tablespoon of Maggi chili sauce, half a teaspoon of sugar and three tablespoons of soy sauce

The last step is to turn the fire up, and then

Big noise, special noise <br class="smart">Big stir fry, stir fry up bravely! ! ! 🔥🔥🔥

Da Da~~~ So you're done~~~ Isn't it easy?

Stir fry until I'm exhausted and the sauce is flying everywhere @.@

Putting it in a bowl looks more appetizing~ :D
If there are limes, squeeze the juice on it and it tastes even better! :P

The fragrant and slightly spicy mamakang fried Maggi noodles is ready~ I am drooling

If you have the opportunity to see Maggi curry noodles in Malaysia in the future, remember to try it out~

In other words, after frying Maggi noodles, the whole kitchen and living room are full of aroma!
It's a bit like the taste of my hometown mamak stall, I miss it so much! ! !
