Notes from the article to Podcast: Written on the day "Season of the Sunflower" was released

It was my intentional choice to remove the parts that were too "moving". I still hope that everyone can go back to reading the text and leave the feeling of being impacted by the text to each different self, rather than the interpretation of my voice. .

Sound programs and articles are almost completely different works. The feeling of text being read in the layout, the feeling of being able to swipe, browse, and contrast before and after is very different from the way Podcasts have to move forward in sequence, the sound has its own characteristic emotions and attention is placed. In the past, I have tried to record articles into podcasts several times. At first, I thought that if I wrote the article first, it should be easier to record, but it is not.

Because it is not in the form of an audiobook that is read verbatim, I use the article as a script to record. The "impatient" in the voice is easy to show, and it is difficult to grasp the rhythm of arranging information. It is easy to skip certain information and "jump" too fast".

In contrast, a simple script that lists points in general, although I am not sure what kind of sentences will be used to arrange it, it seems to have a dialogue-like nature, adding a little uncertainty, and it is more fun to record.

Because the experience of converting articles into podcasts was not easy, I delayed this recording for a longer time. As early as 228, I finished writing and reading "The Season of Sunflowers": We hope that "all this can happen" is a thing of the past . Later, because of Teacher Wu Jiemin's assistance in sharing and reporting on Facebook , he also came to inquire about reprinting, as if the text effect has been brewing for some time.

But there are always people who don't have time to read, or because of various reasons, can't get this book, right? I think I'm still writing too long, trying to promote this book in various ways, not to mention the war is not over yet. So, I still record.

Yesterday, I read this book and the translator Lin Weiyun wrote his observations from Poland in the reporter, and I also watched Winter Fire on Netfilx. Finally, the production partner of the show also recorded the sound file of "Season of the Sunflower" about a week ago. Processing is complete. I never really knew if I was "good at recording", I asked him and he said he thought it was pretty good.

I said, in fact, the article has already been written, and there are not too many new ideas. I just regard myself as a radio reporter. Focus on the book, intercept some, discard some of the things in the book review.

He felt that for the listener, such absorption was easy because it was clear. On the contrary, some stories that seem to have more "ups and downs" may be wonderful, but they are not read out in the program, which is a pity.

I just found out, ah, yes, it was my intentional choice to remove the parts that were too "moving", I still hope that everyone can go back to reading the text and leave the feeling of being impacted by the text to each different person myself, not an interpretation of my voice.
