[Reading・Three Kingdoms・Lü Mengbiography] Good boss Sun Quan set an example and encouraged his subordinates to read Lu Mengduo

Busy is not the patent of modern people, as long as there are many things to deal with, it can be called busy. Sun Quan and Lu Meng were both busy people. There was a difference between the two. Sun Quan often read, Lü Meng rarely read, so Sun Quan called Lü Meng and Jiang Qin into the office and talked to them.

Sun Quan's first sentence said, "The two of you are now in power, and you should read more to benefit yourself." Like: "I have a lot of work and I don't have time to study" (I'm so busy in the military, I'm afraid I won't be able to read again.) Sun Quan said: "I'm not asking you to read a doctorate (really a doctorate), I just want you to study more history. , to expand knowledge." (Do you want to treat the scriptures as a doctor's evil? But you should be dabbling in the past to see what happened.)

Sun Quan went on to talk about his "history of reading". He had already read The Book of Songs, Book of Books, Book of Rites, Zuo Zhuan, and Guoyu at a young age. These books may not have been read by students in the Chinese Department. However, Sun Quan never read the Book of Changes, like many modern people. (Gu Shaoshi calendar poetry, books, Book of Rites, Zuo Zhuan, Mandarin, but not easy to read). It seems that Sun Quan knew from a young age that opening a book is beneficial, and the more open it is, the more beneficial it is.

When I was a child, I had time to read, but when I grow up, will I still have time to read as a boss? some. Sun Quan said that when the boss read the history books and military books, he found it very useful. (Since the commander-in-chief, the province of the three histories and the military books of various families, I think it is of great benefit). Next, he encouraged Lü Meng and Jiang Qin, saying that they were very smart, and as long as they were willing to study, they would definitely learn, so why not study? Additional good books are recommended to the two, namely "Sun Tzu's Art of War", "Liu Dao", "Zuo Zhuan", "Mandarin", and "Three Histories" (Historical Records, Han Shu, Dongguan Han Ji). (For example, Qing and Qing have a clear understanding of their mind and nature, and they must learn it. I would rather not do it? It is advisable to urgently read Sun Tzu, Liu Tao, Zuo Zhuan, Mandarin and the Three Histories.)

Do you think the book list is over? Not yet, Sun Quan himself is a scholar, of course, he must quote famous people to prove that reading is useful. He first quoted Confucius as saying, "It is useless to think without food and sleep all night long, and it is better to study." He also said that Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty often read books when he was leading the army, and his opponent Cao Cao lived until he was old and learned. The last sentence summed up: "I've talked so much, why don't you two go to study?" (Guangwu is a soldier, and he can't let go of the book. Meng De also claims to be old and eager to learn. Why doesn't Qing alone encourage Xie Xie?)

Listen to the boss's words and read ten years of books. Lu Meng read special reading, and his ability increased with the amount of reading. (Mengshi started to study and was determined to be tireless. What he saw, the old Confucianism was invincible.) Lu Suyuan believed that Lu Meng had only martial arts and no literature. However, Lu Meng's whole person changed after he studied. Lu Su was pleasantly surprised when he talked to Lu Meng, and his view of Lu Meng changed completely. Look at each other with admiration.” (Su Xunmeng said: “I said that the eldest brother has Wu Luer’s ears. As for the one who has learned Yingbo, he is not going to return to Wu’s Amon.” Meng said, “After three days of separation, I will be even more impressed. treat……"). This is the origin of the idiom "Wu Xia Amon" and "Shiba leave for three days, and look at it with admiration".

Sun Quan and Lü Meng were so busy and so good (one was the lord of Jiangdong, the other was a military general) that they were still reading (and Emperor Guangwu and Cao Cao), and their abilities greatly increased after reading. Is there any reason for ordinary people not to read?
