書評：till she flies again - Angel Lai

“I know eventually, we’d still daydream about the what-ifs. But I hope that we’d be able to tell ourselves that what’s been done can’t be changed, and more importantly, there is still time to manifest those wonders.”

Growing up, or to put it in the other words, getting old, means we have to face new challenges almost every day. Some people like to document their novel experience through talking to people around them, some use their cameras to capture the moments, while some enjoy writing their feelings down through blogging and poetry. 

Angel, one of the sweetest girls I’ve met, is great at using her words to explain the world around her and to communicate love. She is also an adventurous young lady who embraces changes in life while holding onto things that she loves. It has rocked my world when I learned that Angel has self-published her first book “till she flies again” - well writing a book has been one of my dreams but I never really started working on it.

This collection of prose and poetry by Angel is a very lovely read. You can feel her devotion to life and people around her. The flow of thoughts in this book reminds me of my younger self when I was facing many life choices and excited about the unknown future. (damn I’m old!) It is also an inspiration to people (including me) who want to accomplish things that they love instead of only completing what they are expected or obliged to do.
