After Hou Youyi personally held a press conference on June 30 to explain the incident in the Cultural University Daqun Pavilion, which had been burning for several months, the Taipei City Government, the competent authority, also stated on July 3 that it was illegally used, and Hou Youyi’s camp issued a statement on July 3. Statement, announcing that the contract with Cultural University will be terminated.

The move to terminate the contract, of course, has the meaning of completely stopping the bleeding and ending the incident. On the other hand, it can also take advantage of the situation to influence public opinion and develop in the direction of "the DPP ignores students' accommodation rights for the sake of elections". The Taipei City Government, which has been identified as illegal, is bound to bear part of the responsibility. Therefore, in order to prevent the fire from spreading to himself, Ke Wenzhe took the initiative to propose that "Youyu Company, which is run by Hou Youyi's relatives, can be rented directly", and even stated that in this case, "On the edge of the law, I just found a way to make it legal. Once the law is explained, it will be fine.”

From Ke Wenzhe’s standpoint, this move has other political effects: to show that he is not blue or green (or beyond blue and green); to be kind to others, to take care of students’ rights and interests first, and to use the least cost to solve the cultural university’s large group hall. issues, etc. The most important thing is to establish the image of "white power" that "this kind of case wandering in the gray area of law is a bad political habit, and I, Ke Wenzhe, will definitely come forward to solve it".

From this point of view, although Ke Wenzhe and Hou Youyi both used the image of "unexperienced and just" to package themselves, after this fight, Ke Wenzhe played the role of "lore" and decided Hou Youyi's "justice detective" A gray police officer who is both good and evil, and who will succumb to the greed and weakness of human nature. On the other hand, returning to the battlefield of Taipei mayor, Ko Wenzhe also successfully competed with Yao Wenzhi for the light green voters and marginalized Ding Shouzhong through this case, and mastered the dominance of the rhythm of the election.

Compared with the blue, green and white political attack and defense caused by the dormitory of Cultural University, what makes me more curious is Hou Youyi, who was born in the police. His image is actually similar to the characteristics of many characters in the currently widely noticed Korean drama "Jurisdiction Scene". There is overlap. Such a coincidence, through the performance of the characters in the play, may allow us to look at Hou Youyi's way of running for election from another angle.

"Jurisdiction Scene" is a series starring South Korean comedian Lee Kwang Soo. The outline of the story is that Yan Sang Shou (played by Lee Kwang Soo) and other young people who are also struggling with life, in order to seek a full-time job and be promoted to the mainstream of society, join the police force Exam, the story of the front line in the police station. Because the culture and social atmosphere of South Korea and Taiwan are similar, when watching the drama, apart from the difference in text and language, it is basically very easy to bring it into the scene in Taiwan.

Compared with the emotional tension caused by the many "firsts" of the protagonists, another main line may be said to be the life of the veterans of the police station. Some seniors are serious, some are smooth, and some seniors just want to fight and fish, and they will dodge when things go wrong. Among these seniors, Wu Yangcun (played by Pei Shengyou) is the most unique. He has won numerous awards, and all he thinks of is to keep handling cases, even if he steps on the landmines of conflict between the forces within his jurisdiction and offends the interests of the superiors, so it is not surprising that after being framed by the superiors, he is demoted. to the grassroots police station.

Looking back at Hou Youyi's "police image" from this point of view, it seems like a synthesis of the various roles in "Jurisdiction Scene". He once took a panicked little girl hostage from the residence of the South African military attache; he also led a team to force Zheng Nanrong to self-immolate: in an earlier stage, he even played the role of the former chairman of the Taiwan Provincial Council, Gao Yuren, in the extramarital affair case. Without a search ticket, the front-line character who broke into the house of the object of the extramarital affair and searched for "important items".

As a grass-roots police officer, perhaps these are a bit of a last resort, or a little connivance with the side of human nature that wants to flourish, just like in the absence of obvious violations, a piece of land is registered with a house number of ninety-nine, which is legal, but unreasonable. As a grassroots police officer, perhaps we can all understand this kind of petty evil in human nature.

However, Hou Youyi rose all the way to the police chief and the deputy mayor of New Taipei City. Hou Youyi at this time is no longer the "grassroots office worker" whose shadow you and I can find. Once he is elected mayor of New Taipei, he holds the administrative power and resources of the most populous municipality in the country. Shouldn't he use stricter standards to test Hou Youyi? At this time, Hou Youyi may be more like Yan Shangshou, Wu Yangcun and other grassroots who are unattainable and may not be able to reach high-level executives, right?
