20200713 Lost Knowledge
(Briefly record an imaginary process and conclusion)
There should be a lot of knowledge/ideas left in the long history. The reasons can be divided into two categories:
1. The owner of the idea didn't say it
1.1 The owner of the idea realizes it, but decides not to say it
1.2 The owner of the idea does not realize the value of the idea, so there is no expressed idea
2. Say it but it doesn't spread (down)
Some of the lost knowledge has the potential to be of high value. So we have reason to minimize the loss of knowledge. The solution may have the following steps:
1. Encourage speaking up
2. Reasonable and efficient inspection and screening mechanism to select valuable knowledge
3. Effectively store and recall knowledge, temporarily useless, may be valuable later
For the implementation of the above two steps, there may be difficulties in reality:
1. The efficiency of the public screening mechanism is very limited, and it is necessary to reduce the noise in the public space, so it depends on the pre-screening of the idea generator, so it returns to the old problem of "unspoken".
2. The "reasonableness" of the screening mechanism is difficult to achieve, and the standards vary and are constantly changing.
3. Distortion during storage and reproduction
