How come reconciliation "Our Blues Time" can't heal me without backlash

I actually watched the 20-hour Korean drama Our Blues on Netflix. I said "surprisingly", because Korean dramas are not my thing at all, and I am extremely ignorant of them. The only one I have watched is "You Who Came From the Stars", to see how handsome "Call the Beast" is, and of course Jun Zhixian's demeanor. This "surprise" happened because in my mind, the scholar friends who should have watched fewer Korean dramas than me "surprised" me, and even followed up with the news a few days after the first recommendation, making me identify this Korean drama. It must be amazing, so let go of your prejudices and obediently make a pit.

Inghe

Different from the comments in the market that praised "Blue" to the sky, I didn't think this healing Korean drama was very magical when I watched it. The first two episodes even made me feel like, why do the exaggerated acting skills and slapstick seem familiar, like the Korean version of "Love Home"? I don't mean to offend "Blue", and I also admit that this is too harsh, but for me who haven't watched TV for many years, "Love Home" is the only possible association I can have. The fact is, if the production of "Love Home" is half as good as others, I don't have to feel so uncomfortable when I eat with my mother.

As I watched it, I thought about why my friends recommended it so much. I didn't see what was so special about it under the gorgeous screen. Maybe it's dullness, or it's indifference. I didn't realize until I saw the story of Yingxi and Yingyu in episode 14, well, I like this drama too. At least this chapter.

The plot is touching, and the production policy alone, the story line of Young Hee and Young Ok, is enough for me to see the progress of Korean dramas and even Korea. When TVB is still playing "funny" by pretending to be a woman, and using black skin from Hong Kong people and playing Filipinos with a partial accent as a gimmick, tvN, the producer of "Blue", has directly looked at the existence of Down syndrome patients from the beginning of the script. But it will not make the mainstream and the niche out of balance for the sake of political correctness, and it took a year to find a real patient Zheng Enhui to perform, and his acting skills are not sloppy, more natural than many professional actors.

In all fairness, not only TVB, even Hollywood, will find Scarlett Johansson to play Motoko Kusanagi in "Ghost in the Shell", and the Japanese film industry also finds my favorite Aoi Miyazaki to play the mentally retarded role of the big production "Rage", and so on. Examples of stereotypes can be found all over the world; sometimes based on market considerations, sometimes purely publicity stunts, and many times believe that it is indeed feasible, such as "Mama's Wonder Boy" to find a real-life spastic person to play Su Huawei, I am afraid it is extremely difficult. It is precisely because the difficulty is so high that the seriousness and hard work of the production team of "Blue" and the value of the role of Yingxi are even more highlighted.

In addition to Yingxi, actor Li Shaoxing, who plays the deaf-mute character Xingxing in the play, has a sweet smile and is also a deaf person and a sign language dancer. Compared with people with Down syndrome and spasticity, it is less difficult to find deaf people to perform, but few TV dramas and movies have tried it in the past. The intention of "Blue" to drive the society to pay attention to the underprivileged can be seen.

Because I like Yingxi, I searched after reading it to learn more. Wow, it's really incredible. It turns out that Zheng Eunhui is really a painter in real life, and his style of painting has a strong personal style. All the paintings in the play are all from Zheng Eunhui's handwriting! This seamless integration of script, actors, and art has raised my impression of "Blue" by another two levels.

The documentary "Your Face", which introduces Zheng Eun-hye's daily life and the road to becoming an artist, has participated in the Busan Film Festival and the Gwangju Women's Film Festival. The joy is not because of cultural export or the Korean wave, but because of social progress and national maturity; the real rise of a country is not because of the launch of a rocket or force to deter neighboring countries, but because the people are the masters of the country and live with dignity, even if Vulnerable groups are given due attention and care.

reconciliation

After further questioning, a friend came and revealed, "This drama touched me because it talked about people's fragility and pain, and then how to try to reconcile with themselves and the people around them."

After receiving the message, I thought that I was not as deeply moved by the reconciliation-focused "Blue" as many other viewers. Could it be because I have no experience in reconciling with myself and the people around me, or even have this experience? Strong desire?

I'm definitely not a round-faced person, or even quite angular, but I have never had the experience of turning against people like the plot in the play. Although the production of "Blue" is excellent, and the art is dizzying, I have been unable to invest, and I am a little withdrawn, and even black-bellied. In the story of Eun Hee and Mi Ran, I am happy for the two who have released their previous suspicions. I would rather the two sides not reconcile. Even if there is no need to turn against each other, it is more comfortable and sincere for everyone.

Perhaps, I also belong to the kind of character set by Enxi. I have carried a lot of burdens based on the so-called "loyalty", but I didn't realize that I had reached my critical point over time. But it is because you have endured this for many years, and the grievances have accumulated bit by bit, never suddenly increased, but there is no trigger point to express dissatisfaction.

After all, "Blue" is a TV series. The development of the plot will cause conflicts between the characters, and then the relationship between the two sides will break down, thus creating an opportunity for reconciliation. This is not the case in reality, at least in my experience the exact opposite. There has never been "life and death", only the passage of time quietly slips away, and before you realize it, the relationship is no longer there. I always look back to know that the last interaction with so-and-so was the last time.

A few years ago, in the "Year of Cessation", I cut off contact with 99% of my domestic friends. It is "break", not "break"; I have no enemies, although I cannot say the same for the other. When it comes to the reasons, there is no reason at all. It’s just that it is difficult for me to accept the chat software that is as naked as postcards, and even if I can accept it, it will be difficult to log in after the domestic number is reluctantly suspended. Walls and use encrypted communication tools.

Wouldn't it be worth compromising communication tools in order to connect with friends, you say? No, it's just that the relationship is broken before you have a chance to think about it. It's not that there is no more to say, but it's time to grind people, the flavors are mixed, and I don't know where to start; it's like a broken TV. Stop watching long-form series, wait until the TV is repaired, and you can't keep up with the plot.

In the "Whereabouts Unknown" sung with Lin Yilian, Huang Yaoming sang this kind of death:

How many parties, how many lost couples, how many stories, no next sentence, finally one day, I remembered that the number was wrong to meet with you

What's even better is Lin Yilian's short reconciliation:

Who didn't look for who didn't wait, who can't be chased since that day

Also from Huang Weiwen's handwriting, the lyrics of "Best Bad Friend" outlines this delicate relationship more blatantly.

There is no free position for each of them. Each teammate knows that after the disbandment, each has a chance to be a tour guide. It's strange that he accepted his own path and asked me if I have an excuse to avoid it. It's not a big hatred. Why did my old confidant change in the end? I don’t know if you’re my friend or foe until I’m an old friend. I can’t see through. I’m being pushed around and follow the flow of life. The stranger in the next year will be the dearest so-and-so from yesterday.

When it comes to Eason Chan's songs, the relationship that came to an abrupt end is more than a friend. The same is true for singers. Perhaps, you, like me, have never made a serious decision to stop listening to Eason Chan's songs, but I don't know when he disappeared from his life circle. Or, it can't be said that it disappeared completely, and the playlist of songs occasionally has his old works, but the relationship with him is like a freeze frame, paused before a certain year.

There is no opposition, no reconciliation, which is probably the reason why "Our Blues Time" can't heal me.
