Code Farmer's Daily - "Workplace" as an interviewer
Recently, I don't know why my supervisor keeps calling me for an interview.. (I'm still the best in the department XD)
And weird, it's not once or twice XD
However, from the recent job seekers, there are actually quite a lot of experiences.
So think left and right~
Later, I decided to write about my experience as an interviewer :D
foreword
I have a lot of experience in job interviews in the imitation room. Ptt Adikaa just searched a lot.
The interviewer's opinion articles are often farm articles, or there are more high-profile articles. Most articles are published in managers' magazines, or they are HR articles.
Emmm.. yes, usually the interviewer is usually the immediate supervisor, HR or manager~ I am definitely not implying that I am a supervisor
Besides, I'm really not the boss!!!!!
As for me, I really don't know why. During my 1 year and 8 months of entry, I interviewed at least 10 job applicants, and the vacancy I was in charge of interviewing was software development or MIS network management .
So, in the next article, I will write something about these two vacancies. As an interviewer, I will hope to see some of your eyebrows and be too lazy to care about you.
What I will do before the interview
- Browse the introductions section
- See if there is a portfolio link ( QR-Code is the best! )
- Mark the skills he has listed ( especially circle the parts where his skills overlap with the job openings he's applying for )
- If you have experience in competitions, papers, etc., you will first check who the organizer is or the paper system
This part sucks the company system. Usually, when I receive an interview, I only have about 3 minutes to review these materials.
And among the job seekers I have met so far, only 2 have the impression that they have works.
Those with a master's degree must have a dissertation, and I have only seen 3 in my impression (and overlap with the above two ( ´_ゝ`)
As for the game experience...I really haven't seen it XD
It is conceivable that my resume at the time probably scared my supervisor ʕ→ᴥ←ʔ
In this part, the most important thing for me is " preliminarily browse the degree of match between job seekers and vacancies "
Because in addition to whether the strength of a job vacancy is achieved, whether the content of the job vacancy matches the skills of the job seeker is also very important~
Then, we enter the interview stage.
First of all, I must first ask you if you have a portfolio
Usually when I enter the interview room, the first thing I do is not ask him to introduce himself, but ask him if he has any works
Why am I asking this in the first place?
It's because I think that writing software is one of the few industries in all walks of life that can take skills away
What's the meaning? It means doing the line " you can do some work at home alone "
Writing software is about hard power, and works are one of the mediums that can best show your level (so many companies take computer-based exams)
At the same time, it is also helpful to judge " whether you are willing to spend your own time on ability improvement "
From this, it can also be deduced whether this person is usually trying to accumulate himself and manage himself.
In general, I think if there are people with a portfolio, I will add 30 points first, and the other points will depend on the content.
As for the content of the portfolio, it depends on the individual. For example, I will write some side projects and write technical blogs.
These are the capital that can be negotiated during the interview (-‿◦)
self-introduction
Then, it is inevitable to be more popular, so I still have to introduce myself (・ωー)~☆
In fact, among the people I interviewed, there are almost no people who can't even introduce themselves well ((But I heard that other job vacancies in our company often encounter people who don't speak well when they introduce themselves..
But although there are not many people who don't speak well, there are not many people who don't speak well.
Like introducing your family, introducing your interests, introducing your elementary school girlfriend, etc..
...well, the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard is about my current girlfriend (´Д`)ヾ
(Gan, the point is that we just dated)
(Go away!! Lin Bei is a single dog!!! Aowu~~~)
So, what would I want to hear? The following are the key points of my self-introduction
- Where are you from - at least I need to know if I live at home or out, better know how to get to work
- Major - I want to know the part where you have confidence in yourself
- Ambition - what do you want in this job other than salary
Among the three items, the order I value is 3->2->1
I'm used to taking ambitions more seriously
Because I think a job that can get money and improve the ability to improve is the best thing.
And if a person's work content is what he expects, then he will be able to endure the hard days when he just went to work (´∀`)
The major will definitely be asked. In this part, I will first check whether the major of the other party is consistent with the skills circled in the previous paragraph, and I will ask him " Do you like this skill? Will you still Continue to develop this skill? "
Like I said, love is the biggest source of motivation
As for why you ask where you live? It involves too many personal thoughts, so I'd better not mention it (;´д`)ゞ
In addition, in this part, I can usually get a preliminary grasp of the other party's enthusiasm and ambition for technology. In this part, I am most afraid of encountering someone who does not know my ambition at all . Usually, I will prepare to invite him back. (´・д・`)
Professional questions
Then comes the hardest part, usually at the beginning I will ask him some professional questions
There is an important point in this section:
Just do your best, don't give up
There is a portfolio, usually I will discuss based on the portfolio
If someone brings Source code, I will look at his Coding style first
But usually.. what you don't bring is the most XDDDDDDDD
I can only ask questions like this, and the questions are also from the shallower to the deeper
In order, I would ask first
- application side
- Architectural aspect
- Principle
- academic aspect
The application side is somewhat close to a simulation project. If there are certain requirements, how will you practice it?
The architectural aspect is to ask about the life cycle of the entire system operation, or the framework, etc.
The principle aspect is about the operation mode of the system, the presentation principle of some controls, and what you would do if you were to present the same controls, etc...
The academic aspect is usually some data structures, algorithms, programming language features and their applications, etc. This part is usually something taught in schools
To sum up, in a word, through the questions in the above four links, I can know the type of the job seeker
I've categorized them roughly as follows:
- Complete implementation type - this kind of person only does not understand the principle of implementation, usually appears in freshmen from the University of Science and Technology or some second-time employees
- Completely theoretical - this is probably a freshman at a national university
- Practice 30% theory 70% - this is usually a freshman in the master class
- Balanced - second-time employed and some freshmen
And this part is actually like what many articles say
I really don't care what you answer
For me, it's enough to have a concept, and I don't need to think about being 100% correct.
After all, everyone is just eating, it really doesn't make sense to deliberately make things difficult for you (*ノω<*)
small talk
Yes, you read that right
I can really gossip XD
I will infer what the other party may be interested in from the information given by the other party (or he wrote it himself)
And I would like him to chat about his personality and understand that he is someone who likes to talk or listen while he relaxes
Even talk about some bird things in the office, and then ask him what he thinks
Sometimes I also do a little psychological test (´◑ω◐`)
This part is not certain, it is purely a matter of personal preference~
And there are no taboos in this part...but this is unique to me, can't be generalized XD
Summarize
In fact, I am very one-sided, because this is purely my personal impression when interviewing others
But I think I am also very grateful to the company for giving me the opportunity to interview others, because in the process of interviewing others, I also indirectly learned the feeling of being an interviewer.
Seriously, the interviewer is just a person, he's just a guy who just left his job and came to chat with you ˋ3ˊ
And from this, I also know what I want to see and what I want to know as an interviewer.
To put it bluntly, I don't have time to listen to your nonsense ~ because I'm still working on a project ah QQ
Alright~ That's it for the article, I hope these contents can be of some little help to you :D
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
