Your ideal is not mine
Yesterday I read Nuan Dad @yunxun83 Xiao Yunxun shared: Do you want/ideal? Inspired, he discusses in this article that everyone's ideal is what they think in their hearts, but it is not necessarily the only "truth". Talking about oneself will only lead to complacent, lack of a moment of peace and even destroy the order. We should brainstorm ideas, keep discussing to get everyone's consensus, and help each other to achieve a better world.
I completely agree with him, because everyone grew up in a different environment and received a different family education. Even brothers and sisters who grew up in the same family may not have exactly the same thoughts. Even if there are thousands of Yi people in the world, it is impossible for you to find someone who thinks exactly like you. Even when encountering long-similars (another self in the world?), or even twins, there is no possibility of 100% complete copy-paste ideas .
How to find the harmony point of everyone in their respective ideals?
First of all, there must be a platform that allows everyone to express their opinions, opportunities to speak, to accommodate the differences (even tolerance) of dissidents, and to have an environment where people can listen. Instead of blindly denying others, or not giving others a chance to speak, and finally even speaking ill.
This is definitely not helpful for discussing things. Without a harmonious atmosphere for discussion, it is impossible to find a "harmonious point" that is acceptable to everyone.
Compromise does not mean "lose"
Some people are very competitive, and they have to compare everything with others, such as wealth, political correctness, family, appearance, etc., such as what brand of shower gel to use, even during the epidemic. Whose mask is more advanced and more expensive, etc.
What's the point of all this? Even if you are better than others, there will always be someone better than you. "Compromise" with life and be grateful for what you have. This is not losing, but finding inner satisfaction and peace of mind.
And when people have differences of opinion, the other side refuses to give in to each other, and thinks that if they agree with the other party's point of view, then they "lose", and now it is not a matter of position, everyone can't hear anything, and they fight for that breath, which evolves into pure The issue of personal face not being able to get off the stage.
But in fact, have you ever thought that "lose" is not really a loss?
For example, my friend and I think differently about things. At this moment, he tried his best to convince me that I agree. If I insist on it to the end, I will end up arguing and breaking up, even losing a friend. Sometimes I would choose to take a step back and throw away my own thoughts, try to listen patiently and then understand, and find out what I agree with. I don't think my "original ideal" is more important than the existence of "friends". (Of course, people have to be persistent, for example, when it comes to committing crimes, such people can break up with each other)
And this "compromise" of mine did not make me feel wronged, and achieved a harmonious and ideal ending, which is really a "win".
Inclusive society
In the 20th century, the topic of inclusion has become more and more important, and tolerance and acceptance of diversity has become a general atmosphere in society. But even so, shouting individualism, advocating the uniqueness of everyone, and finding the ideal way of coexistence from it, is still difficult.
Based on each person's difference, how can I achieve my ideal and become their ideal and the world's ideal ?
I think communication is the key , and this communication can be intense or calm, but it can only be based on facts, without any personal attacks.
As mentioned above, everyone has their own ideas. There is no right or wrong in these ideas, but they have evolved from their own growth process.
I think everyone should take off their tinted glasses first, and then try to put on other people's glasses, maybe you can find a place to identify with. Take a step back, isn't it a vast sea and sky?
Finally, I would like to share a sentence I have heard: if you clench your fist tightly, you are afraid of losing that thing in your hand, but you can catch more things when you release your palm.
If everyone also let go of their hands, I believe that they can hold hands with each other to create a better ideal world of the four seas and one family.
