Marvel TV is back. This time it's the animated version of "What If...? 》

If "Wanda in Vision" didn't remind us of the multiverse in Marvel Time, this "What If...?" came after Loki. ” series, which smoothly tells us that the multiverse and multiple time periods in the Marvel world are completely bursting.

"if…? "The first episode of the first season tells the story of the first person in the Avengers, Captain America. Of course, on a different earth, the protagonist has become the girlfriend of Captain America, British female agent Peggy Carter. She is not called Captain Britain here, because Captain Britain is someone else, so it is estimated that she should keep the platoon movie.

But whether it's Captain America or Captain Britain, in Hollywood stories, World War II would be right without France, China, and the Soviet Union.

The animation begins with a narration from the observer. I haven't watched What If...? ” series of comics, I heard that the entire narration is based on the original book, basically saying that the observer will let different universes have their own things, and will not intervene to prevent anything.

At this time I thought, you are so leisurely, does Conqueror Kang agree?

Sure enough, when Steve Rogers was preparing to introduce the super soldier serum at his base in New Jersey, the female agent Peggy Carter did not follow the plot in the movie, she chose to stay in Iron Man, built by his father Howard Stark. Super soldier operating room. This decision not to follow the script led to a series of subsequent timeline forks.

I don't know that such a big divergence point event has resulted in different timelines. Why didn't the Time Variation Authority (TVA) open the two orange square doors and come out to restart the time?

German agents killed the scientist who developed the serum and wounded would-be Captain America Steve Rogers. Just as the mission to create a super soldier is about to fail, Peggy Carter steps up and gets a serum injection.

In order to keep the original protagonist Steve Rogers from doing nothing, Howard Stark built a steel armor for him. To ask how the technology during World War II can make robots that can fly and fight.

Anthony Stark was introduced in the first Iron Man movie "Tony Stark was able to build this in the cave, with box of scraps." Then his father should have no problem with the initial version of the Iron Man armor with the unlimited funding of the coalition. Not to mention the energy used is still Tesseract.

Peggy Carter, who just turned into a super soldier, is not recognized by his superiors. The chief believes that women can't rush to the front; the sexist situation is basically the same as the TV series "Agent Carter".

After Peggy Carter violated military orders and teamed up with Steve Rogers to rescue the Winter Soldier and later the rest of the Howling Commandos, the Army discovered that there was also a Mulan-like character in the original coalition, so let it go and let it go. gave her the title of captain.

In the twenty-odd minutes since Captain Carter received the serum, we've seen the superiority of animation over live-action. The series of fight scenes is much better than the live-action Captain America movie. The skill and movement of using the shield really shows that Hollywood doesn't have a good martial arts actor.

According to the original plot, before the last battle, Captain America and the Winter Soldier led howling commandos to jump on a high-speed train. The Winter Soldier fell into a cliff in this plot and lost one of his arms.

Here, Captain Carter didn't let the Winter Soldier fall off a cliff. Luckily, the Winter Soldier said, "Oh, saved an arm."

However, Steve Rogers, wearing the original Iron Man armor, was captured by Hydra. The Tesseract in the armor, Hydra needs this Infinity Stone to summon the true Norse mythical Hydra from the universe.

When I was just summoned, I thought it was the starfish from "Suicide Squad II", but later I realized that someone wanted to eat Japanese grilled squid. It doesn't look like a snake anyway.

After defeating the humans, Captain Carter needs to squeeze the summoned squid back into his own space.

Steve Rogers, who lost the aura of the protagonist, fully embodies the common problem of male supporting actors falling off the chain at critical moments: the fully charged armor runs out of power and lies flat; the powerful fighting machine becomes a piece of scrap metal. This allows us to fully understand the embarrassment we will encounter before the universal charging station before buying a Tesla.

At the juncture of the battle, Steve and Peggy completed the classic dialogue in the live-action movie: you owe me a dance; next Saturday, see you... and then, no more...

Captain Carter entered the Tesseract space tunnel with Squid.

Unexpectedly, at the other end of the tunnel, Captain Carter arrives at the underground lab where Nick Fury was working on the Tesseract in the first Avengers.

Fury (who doesn't like being called Nick) tells Captain Carter to drop his sword; echoing the movie where he tells Loki to drop his wand.

Hawkeye next to him said as usual with soy sauce: "Yo, isn't this Captain Carter?"

This episode ends here.

This animated episode re-enacts all the important scenes from the first Captain America film in the form of female heroes. Let us have to wonder what happened in the nearly two-hour movie? Where it can be simplified, it must be simplified.

To be honest, this cartoon of less than 40 minutes is better than the live-action version of "Captain America". Just watched one episode and can't wait to see the second episode. I just like this kind of story that is not afraid of affecting the main plot, and can make up any kind of nonsense. Looking very relaxed.

Some people say they don't like the way the show is drawn. Personally I still like it. You don't have to draw too realistically, the surreal version of the animation is not as good as looking at the real person directly. This more cartoonish way of drawing is more like reading a cartoon, giving people a feeling of returning to the basics; of course, this is my personal feeling.
