Come to the desert to see the exhibition - Desert X 2021 Desert Biennale

Here in California, it now feels like the end of POST COVID-19

Many people have been vaccinated, and they are more able to go out and walk around

I stumbled upon this Desert X exhibition, and I want to say that I can come and go to Palm Spring on weekends to wander around Palm Springs.

It took about two hours to drive to Palm Spring, the first installation art The Passenger, I booked the tickets and time online in advance,

But when we arrived at the scene, the local area directly surrounded a parking area on the side of the road, parked the car, put on the mask, and then queued up to enter the venue!

I thought to myself, why am I still so serious about booking tickets (question mark)

However, because this triangular device is designed to be dynamic in a labyrinth, people can shuttle between the desert and the bamboo fence, so it is necessary to control the number of people.

Go to the most central point, there are steps to step on. Maybe I'm too short. After I stepped on it, I didn't see an endless horizon. Instead, I felt like I was surrounded by bamboo, which was different from what I imagined.

Following the font of the famous Hollywood, it should easily resonate with many people, but what the author wants to express should be to arouse the consciousness of the land. After reading the short introduction of the work, perhaps because of the different cultural backgrounds, I do not feel the deep meaning behind the creator.

Near noon on the second day, I went to The Wishing Well. The whole artwork is yellow, which makes people feel hope and strength.

These yellow plastic sheets are part of the barrels that people in a certain area are filling in oil/water. This barrel should be a very important thing to that group of local people.

And these plastic sheets have traces of use. The author should have used the materials on the spot (reminds me that the Taiwan Flower Expo art installation did the same many years ago)

Through this creation, the artist allows us to imagine the living conditions of people in a certain place, and we can also reflect on the fact that our own situation is very happy.

In the past, most of the exhibitions went to the city center. This time, I went to the desert to appreciate art, which was also very special.

Being hot from the sun, and enjoying the combination of art and nature at the same time, the feeling is very different, unlike the past experience of queuing up to buy tickets, then blowing the air conditioner, wearing headphones, watching the artwork model.
