📒LGBTQ life sharing

In the past few weeks, there have been several discussions about LGBTQ on the site.

As a gay living in Taipei, I would like to share my life experience with some points.

AIDS

My first sexual experience was in college.

The campus romance drama in the BL comics didn't happen. The English department has a huge disparity between males and females. There are only eight boys in our class, some of whom are gay and lesbian. None of us came out of the closet, and we didn't like each other. We only saw it on gay dating apps. Selfie with each other. Still yearning for love! I couldn't fall in love for a long time, and I couldn't strike up a conversation on the road, so I went on a date with someone on a dating app. Before the lack of sexual knowledge, there was no word for "anal sex" in the classroom. Even if you knew that safe sex should be worn with a condom, if the opponent said a few more words, the condom would be pulled out.

It was not until I went out of the society and went back to the cafe where I worked and chatted that I learned that K was infected with a sexually transmitted disease. At that time, he interacted with the bald head in the store. The bald head used to be an open-ended relationship. K once proudly told us that he made the bald head become obedient, and the bald head we saw also became obedient, but he did not become honest. He didn't tell K that he had a venereal disease, and he didn't tell K that even if he was controlled with drugs and he didn't wear a condom, there was still a small chance of infection. After hearing that, I was terrified. For three months, I didn’t dare to have sex. I was frightened. I deliberately kept my distance from my family. I kept the razor in my closet.

In a few years, I thought I met the real man. On the fourth birthday of our relationship, I gave him an Apple Watch. A few months later, when I went to the toilet in the middle of the night, I saw the watch pop up something like "It's cool to work without a condom." message. Luckily, I wore a condom all the time.

About anti-identity

LGBTQ is a simple matter. It is about how a person wants to be known and how a person wants to love someone. The complexity of it lies in how the concept is interpreted by various groups, and behind it is everyone's growth experience, identity and interests.

When I was a curator in the hotel industry, the boss liked to ask me to chat in the office. From his struggle history, to his experience in playing stocks, to the EMBA he was studying, he once wanted to make do with my friend's daughter and he said that After dinner, I had to come, and after I sat down, he pretended to leave, leaving me and the other side embarrassed. The next day, I got a little annoyed and told my boss that I was discussing marriage with my girlfriend, and he said, "I'm here to help you, and boys sometimes have to rely on their father-in-law." Oh my God! Shouldn't he say the same thing when I came out of the closet, haha.

 Dear Mr. Lin:

I've been rereading your prose lately.

My fate with you is in the library. When I was in high school, I liked to go to the school library to hunt for treasures. My homework was boring. I used to count down in class, chat in math class, and put a novel on my foot in Chinese class. I don't know either. I hate ancient writing. How can I fall in love with you because everyone in the Tang and Song Dynasties has a different back? Even, I feel that prose is always nostalgic, always stopped in the wonderful place, no imagination at all, where did the 16-year-old boy come from? Literary magazines recommend novels. I read from Joyce to Hemingway. Is prose an antique for the post-90s generation? At that time, I was really obsessed. I copied your words in class, and my heart was very calm. I forgot that my father would occasionally come home drunk, that my mother would quarrel with him, and that before he slammed the door and left, he would throw the wine bottle away. Fall all over the ground. This is the magic of your work, right?

With the ups and downs of the epidemic, I have been working from home for almost a year. I can't stay at home. I spend all mornings in the library. At the beginning of this month, I saw your "Character Sketches", and a few days later, I saw "Distant". In your postscript to "Distant", you wrote in many works that you were born in the Japanese Concession in Shanghai, attended a Japanese elementary school, spoke Japanese, but were not regarded as Japanese, fifth grade in elementary school, the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the retreat of the local Japanese, your family Because my father used to work in a Japanese business and was not regarded as a Chinese, the family came to Taiwan in a hurry. In the sixth grade of elementary school in the classroom in Taipei, you can't speak Taiwanese, and you can't read Chinese. You start from phonetics. Has your magic power been cultivated since elementary school? In the face of the world, practice so lenient, so optimistic. Do you know that a while ago everyone was arguing about whether prose should be realistic? I can't read the battle of writing, but I think your work has the answer. The life of an essayist must be an art first, and then there can be a good essay.

I haven't read your "One Year in Kyoto" yet, before I read it, I would like to share with you a little story about my time in Kyoto.

At that time, I broke up with my boyfriend of four years. I wanted to go abroad for a while. I saw a few beautiful cafes in Kyoto, and I booked a low-cost flight and a hotel. I didn't do my homework. During the six days in Kyoto, I walked around the hotel for one day each, and I didn't encounter any cafes I saw before going abroad (I'm afraid you think I'm not good at math, so I will deduct the day in the south, east, north and west, I successfully arrived in Uji according to the suggestion of Google Map. The Japanese subway is really inexplicable.) Every day I walk from day to night, eat late at the ramen shop next to the hotel, and watch the owner of the ramen shop handle the whole scene by himself, cooking noodles and pouring wine. , Settlement, good healing.
