Goodbye MSF: "They can go as far as Africa, but don't know what's going on downstairs in Hong Kong."

MSF is the first NGO to donate money after I worked to make money. Today I stopped the monthly donation. The monthly amount is not much, and it is considered a "stakeholder". No matter if I have a job or not, I have never thought about stopping donations. My wife and I have a consensus. Those who need help are now in my Hong Kong.

The Polytechnic University is beleaguered from all sides. As a humanitarian aid organization, MSF not only kept silent, but also issued a statement that Hong Kong society has sufficient medical resources and rescue capabilities, and will not intervene in the rescue for the time being. So I called Without Borders early in the morning and hoped to cancel it, but all the calls couldn't be made - it was the kind of broadcast that disconnected.

I didn't give up, I went to their office in the Western District to cancel in person (a friend called me to cancel the bank, I said no, and I wanted to tell them the reason for my cancellation and cancellation). In the afternoon, someone was already handling the cancellation of donations, every few days. One came in every minute, and it was an endless stream. The staff in charge was courteous and efficient, filling out the form and it took less than five minutes from reconciliation to cancellation. Their pens are very creative. They are in the style of injection needles. For some reason, I suddenly remembered Lu Xun. The injections are for the body, and the pen may still be needed to save people.

Miss Ho came from Tai Po on a special trip. She only hoped that MSF could "speak in a fair way. After all, they are an organization that saves people. When children are in trouble, at least they can speak a word." She felt that she had donated money at the beginning. It's because of the "sympathy" that the other side promotes, but Borderless has not shown sympathy on the Hong Kong issue.

What Miss Liao said to me was even more poignant: "Their support can go as far as Africa, but they don't pay attention to what's going on downstairs in Hong Kong."

In fact, the contribution of Hong Kong people to MSF is very high. According to the annual report, Hong Kong has a total of more than 203,000 donors, with a total donation income of 518 million yuan last year, ranking 10th among all donor countries, but in terms of average population donations, it ranks second in the world, second only to Switzerland .

Their office has a map of the world, and it is covered with "punch-in" marks in Africa and the Middle East. Hong Kong is extremely small on this map.

Attached is MSF's self-introduction: "MSF is committed to providing emergency medical assistance to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics and natural disasters, and excluded from the medical system. As a humanitarian relief organization, MSF will only be based on people needs, regardless of race, religion, gender or politics .”
