Going to start talking nonsense again:

Recently, I began to think that "new media" was not born from traditional media, but was born from scratch by itself. New media is a product of culture and technology, not a continuation or transmission of news coverage.

After all, new media is just a form of carrying, and it is up to the creator to decide what content to publish on it.

Then, when we are accustomed to using "new media" to deliver news and information, after all, we just choose a form. After that, social regulation was only natural selection, traditional news content declined, and new media cultural content prevailed. This marks not the fading of journalism itself, but the rise of popular culture.

News is the product of troubled times, and new media culture is the product of "peaceful times". What we are after today is cultural freedom, not freedom of reporting. "We media" leads the rise of free culture, not the root cause of news content.

The social and cultural background reflects our choice of content, but the choice of content should depend on the choice of form. However, the choice of form is almost invisible, because the concept itself is so consumed by "technology" that it is difficult to distinguish.

Each medium has its own characteristics and carries content that matches its own characteristics, and "media fusion" eliminates the barriers between them. After eliminating the "form difference", the future will be able to distinguish the "content difference".

Therefore, today's "new public domain" is a mixed communication domain that blends traditional media, (new) self-media, and personal content producers.
